Chapter 13

I was floored. Kwartukka? As in, my family's founder? Now that I look at him...he fits the description quite well. He had the same purple eyes as I did, his name was the same, and he was extremely powerful, which would explain why we are a special family. I looked at him closer and took in his full appearance now that we weren't in a life or death situation. The man had very pale white skin, and horns that faded into a dark magenta color. His hair was a flamboyant silver and his face was gentle. He wore a beautiful purple robe that almost looked like a dress. He was also freakishly tall, taller than any normal human would ever be. The only way you could describe this man in a few words was 'breathtakingly pretty' which may seem odd for a man, but it was true. He looked like a god, but I knew what he truly was...

''You're a demon....aren't you?'' I said to him cautiously. He gave me one solemn nod of agreement.

 ''That also means that, by extension, you are as well, my child'' My eyes widened slightly. I definitely somehow, have not thought of that. This means that all that are blood related to him are demons of some kind, including.....my father. I don't know if I can ever tell him, he would flip his shit. I suppose that if he is ever to know of what Kwartukka is, he will make the relation himself anyway.

 ''I have so many questions.'' I told him in a daze. With a smile, he replies. ''And I am here to answer them.''

''Ok well first of all, why did that demon call me an amalgamate?'' He sighed sadly. ''Well you see Alzenia, wizards are a bi product of godly genes being transformed over time. And my genes are demon in origin, so this technically means that you are some sort of hybrid.'' 

So all this time my theory about wizards was right. I wanted to know more. ''Does this mean that the entire family are hybrids?'' He shook his head. ''Not exactly, you see, you are the only one that counts as a true hybrid so far except for my own sons and daughters, since you have the purest demon descendance in decades, maybe even centuries, you are the first hybrid this family has seen since my own children.'' I hummed in understanding.

''Then....why am I so special?'' He looked to the side hesitant, but finally resolved himself to respond. ''You...for lack of a better phrasing, are my daughter in a sense.'' I was shocked. How could I be his child if my mom gave birth to me? Then it all clicked together, as if I had just solved a big puzzle part. 

''You.....magically marked me?'' He nodded. ''Yes, I intended to warn your parents of it beforehand, but my time was limited, the king and his lackeys were after me, and I could not risk them finding your home, so I fled, hoping that whatever happened, you would be safe.'' I leaned back in my seat, eyes wide from all the knowledge that was being dumped on me.

Severus, who so far had only been listening, finally said something. ''That sure explains your troubles controlling your magic, no doubt that curse worsened it all.'' He said somberly. Kwartukka looked at him perplexed.

 ''Curse? What curse? Has something terrible happened while I was locked up?'' He said worriedly. I responded casually. ''I was hit by a curse, and ever since then I've had more magic than ever, but also less control than I could ever hope to have. That's why my eyes are fucked up too.''

 The Nomendia founder looked at us even more worried and now very serious. ''I sincerely thought you had heterochromia from birth, if that is not the case, it is a clear sign of imbalance in the soul, and it's a very serious issue. How did it happen?''

I explained everything to him, and when I was done, he looked very upset. ''I suspect that the curse is not what caused everything that happened to you.'' Severus rolled his eyes. ''What else than an unknown extremely dark spell could of caused this predicament? Pray tell.'' He said with a snarl. My ancestor didn't react to his rudeness, he was most probably used to way worse.
