Chapter 14

Today was the day Dempsey would be meeting with me to practice my spell. I prepared some things for before he arrived. Then as I was finishing up, I hear a knock at my door. I open, and of course, it was the man himself. 

''Ayyy Zenia! How you doing?'' I could not contain my glee at seeing him. ''Not too bad, considering some things that have happened lately.'' He smirked. ''Oh yeah? You'll have to tell me all about it on our way to the training grounds.'' Rolling my eyes playfully, I took my stuff and we went on our way.

''Jeez....that all really happened?'' He said after I had resumed some events from this week. ''Yep, pretty much, and there's some more but that can wait for now.'' 

 It was his turn to roll his eyes playfully, but he didn't press. ''So, what's the first thing I need to know?'' I turned towards him to better instruct him. 

''Well I will teach you the musical spell first, one that makes music of choice play.'' Grinning he nodded excitedly. ''Alright well first think of a song you like, when you do, pronounce the incantation 'musicorium' clearly and firmly and flick your wand, preferably upwards.'' He seemed to think for a moment, and did so. Music filled the air and it was energetic and melodic. ''Nice choice by the way'' I told him cheekily. To that of course, he only grinned.

''Alright now you want to channel that music and make it an offensive spell. The incantation is 'musivis'.'' He did the incantation, and a small push force came out of his wand. I congratulated him and he looked really proud of himself. 

''Well done, but lemme show you how it's truly done like a pro.'' I then muttered the incantation and an incredibly powerful push force came out, it made the ground tremble and the grass become flat. Dempsey looked fully impressed. 

''Damn! I don't think I could ever manage something that intense.'' I beamed at him, but shook my head. ''I'm sure you could, you just gotta truly put your heart into the music, let it show you the way and trust it with all you've got!'' 

He looked determined, and this time when he cast the spell, it was considerably more powerful than his previous attempt. ''Wohoooo!'' He yelled with a joy I don't ever know if i could muster. Nonetheless I laughed along with him, I was having fun and Merlin knows I deserve it once in a while. ''Hey I've got a song, for the sake of old times.'' I put on a very energetic song that brought memories. We started dancing while walking together like we used to as kids and sang along.

We continued to sing along until the drop came and our dance seemed almost choreographed. It looked almost like we had practiced for years, and in a way we had. We danced to this song often in our youth and it was a staple of our friendship and how it would forever transcend time.

We then stopped dancing and stopped the song as we went back into the castle. We got to my quarters I ordered lunch for us from the house elves. I usually attended the feast, but with Dempsey tagging along, I don't think I can. We ate happily while chatting of old memories and new events. 

''Hey sometime you have to meet my girlfriend, I'm sure you would go along great.'' He said after swallowing a mouthful. ''I already know who she is, you know that right?'' I inquired. ''Pffft, yeah but I want you to really meet her, I wanna make sure you approve!'' I laughed at his nonsense. ''I don't have to approve, you date who you want, but sure if it will quell your fragile nerves I would gladly meet her sometime.'' He rolled his eyes. ''I will talk about it with Arcka, I'm sure she will say yes, she has insisted on the meeting.''
