❝ Is it rude of me to say that that escalated. . Quickly? ❞Barry asked, walking along with Team Six and beside one of the leading members which is Aphrodite Wayne herself. Barry knew how important the person was, for goodness sake she is the sister of Bruce Wayne! That man who's incredibly intelligent, incredibly rich, and incredibly handsome. Which is not really a good thing to think of when you're just beside his sister.
Aphrodite glanced down at him, ❝ Well, if you were to save a life and the time is on the line. . Would you rather it take long when you know the patient's short due? ❞
Barry's eyes widened, looking down as he fidgeted over and over again. Thinking if the Doctor used a metaphor or not, he distracted himself with the walls and the talks that the other members shared before asking in a low voice. ❝ Ms. . I mean Doctor, are you saying I'm due time? ❞
The Doctor laughed whole–heartedly, taking another turn to which she thought was the right way out of the hospital. She shook her head, ❝ Oh no, that's not what I meant Nurse Allen. You see, I'm more of an. . observer and keen to my surroundings. Before my team entered the meeting lounge, we were studying all of you through the windows of the doors. All of your mates are talking, and what about you? You were left behind. ❞
❝ Oh no, Doctor. They weren't just having a good time is all. ❞ Barry drifted, reasoning out to defend his lonesomeness. The Doctor stopped on her trails, sure enough her members followed suit though continued talking. She looked down at Barry's height, forcing a grim smile.
❝ Then when will they have a good time, Nurse Allen? It's not just seconds that we have spent on studying you, it's minutes. We do this all the time to know which member aren't welcomed enough, it's not just me who voted for you to be with us Nurse Allen— it's my team that did so willingly. If they can't have you, that's their loss. At least we have you now on our team, right? ❞ Aphrodite asked, staring at the man who seem to beam at her reply.
Nodding, he was about to reply when someone cut him off.
❝ Make way! This is an emergency, Make way! ❞ Nurses after nurses came barreling through the hallway. Though what bothered Aphrodite the most was that there was no Doctor by the patient, huffing out— she disbanded her team with a nod and ran over to the rushing bed. Barry next to her,
Throwing her clipboard by the patient's foot, she looked at the nurses. ❝ I'll take this, show me your ER. ❞
