Barry was on his usual light gray scrubs, though this time with a smile on his face.
He strolled through the empty hallways, a coffee cup right on his left hand as he followed the beat of the song that thudded right on his earphones. From time to time he would make dance steps as he walked, clearly not bothered by the cameras and the people behind it who follows his every turn and every walk.
Making another turn, Barry suddenly bumped into a hard chest as he was bounced unceremoniously backwards. His earphones swiftly dropping from it's plugged position on his ears as he eyed the man before him, gripping onto his phone. ❝ I'm sorry, Nurse Ace, I would watch where I'm going from now on. ❞
The Nurse in front of him raised a brow, crossing his arms. ❝ You better, Nurse Barry. Central Hospital wouldn't really want a clumsy nurse, would they? Let alone a dancing and hyped one right through the hallway. Tell me, Mr. Barry, is it really that fun to be assigned with the Central City's Fire Department's Fire Chief? ❞
❝ He's a good patient, Nurse Ace. And so are the others I am also assigned to, what's got you into such a bitter mood, anyway? It's early in the morning and yet you're already frowning. ❞ Barry replied, this time, with fury dancing right on his eyes. Nurse Ace could see it, but he was blinded by his pride.
Rolling his eyes, Nurse Ace untangled his crossed arms and took a step forward. Eyeing the poor superhuman down, this time— Nurse Ace scowled. ❝ You know, Little Barry? This hospital had gone through the ashes and it would have stayed that way if it wasn't for Aphrodite Wayne and her childish friends. But now that they're here, they made it better and even they made gossips disappear just in a snap. ❞
❝ But even if that system had broken down, I know that Mr. Fernandez likes you. In a friendly way only, of course, so don't take it in a wrong way– okay? He was with me when you were at your house bawling your eyes out, and I know for sure that I will have him one day. You got me? ❞ Nurse Barry clenched his jaw, he was ready to maybe punch this guy's gut and run in full speed but he knows he can't do it just yet.
So before he could nod, a savior came. ❝ Nurse Ace? Nurse Barry? What is going on in there? And Nurse Barry, aren't you supposed to be in my Team's Lounge? They're all waiting for you so we can start breakfast together. ❞
Before Barry knew it, he was already making his way towards the Doctor. Dr. Mikhail mirrored the smirk on Barry's face as he sent it into an obviously fuming male on the other side of the hallway. And this time, Barry felt noticed and unstoppable.
