I brought everyone to an unoccupied table and sat down. We hear someone yell at the top of their lungs, "179 DAYS OF SCHOOL LEFT!" I just shake my head trying not to laugh. I look over to where the voice was heard and saw that one weird kid. I never understood him. Getting into trouble 24/7 in kindergarten and even all the way through Elementary.
"....Okay I think we should introduce." I suggest and see them both nod in agreement.
"Don," I say pointing towards him, "this, is Jakob." I then point at Jakob. "And Jakob, this is Don." I add.
They both wave or say "hi" to each other, as if uneasy to be around each other. I just sat in between them, finishing the muffin and eggs provided for me and went to our homeroom class when the eerie bell sounded.
Finishing up the day, Don told me that he lives close by as well.
"So that means we all live close to each other." Jakob said walking beside me to my right. Both Don and I nod. Surprisingly, Jakob and Don grew fond of each other. They aren't as weird as they were before. Just hoping that jealousy doesn't overpower other feelings. We walked side-by-side, watching the bus zoom past us with a loud SCREECH. I covered my ears, blocking them from the loud noise.
"That was unnecessary." Don said, uncovering his ears.
"Well, now I know that my eardrums aren't a thing anymore." I say and watch as the bus kept moving at its fast pace.
Jakob nods in agreement, "Yep, same." he replies and turns towards his house, "Well, I'll see you guys tomorrow." he added and waved. We both waved back and I headed towards my house as well.
"Bye Don, see you tomorrow too." I say and walk up the steps, taking my keys from my pocket and placed it into the lock hole. He waved goodbye and turned to go to his home as we all did. I unlocked the door and headed inside, closing the door behind me and locking the door handle. Aunt Mallory sat in the living room, like she always has and smiled, "So how was your day, young man?" she asked and sat up.
"It was good, made a few friends aaand probably enemies too. But all-in-all, good." I respond and join Mallory on the couch.
"Well, good luck with the enemy thing. You'll get used to it, if I could, you can too." Mallory said and placed her dark grey tail on her lap, casually brushing it as if she were to meet someone at the moment. I just nod at the reply and grab the television remote, pressing the "power" button, turning the screen on.
I took my shoes off, almost forgetting and set them aside. I set my backpack aside as well, I didn't need to complete anything for any of the teachers. This is going to be an easy week.
