Thora's POV

The next morning, I once again launch into a discussion with my friends and tell them about my latest revelation. I'm not surprised that they accept my story, seeing as I've basically become some weird Oracle over these last few weeks.

"Alright! Let's kick some butt!" Snotlout whoops.

"Agreed, I'm ready to fight!" Eret grins, flexing.

I look around at all of them. They've trained hard and I do believe that they're ready for whatever comes our way, but a part of me still worries for them. I may not act like it, but these people are the closest thing I have to a family. Losing them would be devastating.

"You're ready. You have your weapons, you've trained, and you're ready to protect Berk with all that is inside you," I say, standing tall beside Hiccup and my Night Furies. "When the battle starts, no matter what happens, I'm glad to have been able to call you my friends."

"Same with all of us, Thora," Astrid says, smacking my back.

"Totally!" Ruffnut and Tuffnut agree, shoving Astrid out of the way and looping their arms over my shoulders.

"Um, so...uh...what are we gonna do about protecting everyone else?" Fishlegs asks, sticking his pointer finger up a little.

"The Great Hall is very secure. We'll lock everyone inside and get all the dragons into the Hangar, save for the ones we're riding," Hiccup says.

"So the plan is to hide everyone, lock up all but seven of our dragons-" Eret starts.

"Nine. Dark Moon and Emerald are going fight," I correct, earning a few shocked looks. "Demon dragons are like Terrible Terrors to Night Furies; puny and weak," I continue, not mentioning the fact that at one point in time, a large herd of demons destroyed all but two of the sleek black dragons.

Hiccup glances my way, then to the two juvenile Night Furies playing near us. He gives a nod of approval.

"Alright. Nine dragons, then have all of us stand and fight? That's the plan?" Fishlegs finishes Eret's thought.

"Yup. Pretty much." I shrug.

"I like it," Ruffnut says.

"Me too!" Tuffnut seconds.

"Me three!" Snotlout yells.

"I'll alert Valka. We'll start stocking up the Great Hall with supplies and get enough fish to supply the dragons for a few days, just in case," Hiccup says. "This will all be over soon."

I let out a long breath. "Let's hope so."
