You know that girl
The one who is always laughing at your jokes?
The one who you take for granted
She'll never leave you, will she?
Look at that same girl
When her mom tells her she's fat
When her dad says she's ugly
When her brother says to kills herself
Look at that girl
When she's collapsed on the floor sobbing
When she writes out her suicide note
Even though she can't bring herself to die
Look at her now
When she cuts her wrists like paper
Or maybe her thighs or stomach
And when she watches the blood drip down
Look at her again
When she looks for a way out of her hell
When she holds the gun up to her head
Or ties a noose and slips it around her neck
Now look
She sees the pain and time this end will cause
She can't shoot herself
She can't leave this world
See how trapped she is
She can't live anymore
But she can't die either
So she survives as a shell
Now when you see her bullied
Will you ignore it?
Or will you stand up for her
Will you tell them to stop?
Will you actually talk to her?
Or will you shun her still?
Look at that girl.
Now do you understand?
