"Are you going to leave me?" He asked, choking out a heart-wrenched sob. "Please don't leave me, I know you are everytime you look at me like this"."

"I won't leave you, I promise. Not this time." She said with tears brimming in her eyes. The curtains fluttered in the breeze, her hair swept back by the motion. The original silky waves were now a tangled mess, having been twirled around repetitively because of her nervousness. "Now, please close your eyes, it'll be over very soon." She said softly as stroked his hair.

"I'm gonna miss you so much," he said as he wiped away a stray tear. He thought he was done crying, that he was going to be strong. Strong for her. Strong for himself. Strong for both of them. And yet, at the mere thought of her leaving him once again, his tears broke free like the water breaking the walls of the dam that held it all in.

"Please, please reconsider," he begged. He simply didn't want to lose her again. She was far too precious to be gone.

"Don't worry, I'll be here." She whispered as she leaned into him.

A sudden blinding flash, and he felt her leave his tightly wrapped arms. He broke down. He couldn't help it. She was gone, gone for good. Falling onto his side, he curled up, unable to remain standing from the overpowering waves of sorrowness.

"I love you, and I'll love you forever. Always!" He cried in a muted tone. He remained curled up in the center of the room, the slight rustle of his bed covers left unnoticed.

It was not until a voice, a voice he could recognize from any place in the world that called out to him. It seemed to bring him back from the despair, devastation and heartbreak.

"Hermione?" He gasped as he stared at the beautiful form sat atop of his bed.

"Draco," she breathed. It was her. It was her indeed. His muse is finally back. And this time, he's never going to let her go again. Flinging himself onto the bed, he hugged her tight, both of them falling backwards. Hermione's hazel curls bounced on the feathery pillows as he stared deep into her eyes.

They were the eyes of hope, the definition of love and his future. "You're finally back right? Tell me you aren't leaving me again." He rushed as he held onto her. Hermione shook her head, a faint smile flitting across her face.
