A/N: Ok so this is the second last chapter. I cannot believe this story is nearly finished. When it's done I'll be focusing on Not Sure and then hopefully continuing Hidden. I'll probably be writing occasional one shots as well.

"Kirstie. There's someone at the door." She doesn't wake up and I don't want to force her so I gently roll her over so that she's lying on the couch instead of on me. "Scott. Hi. Kirstie's asleep." "I don't want to speak to her, I want to speak to you." He barges past me and enters the room without waiting to be invited. He stands at the end of the couch and looks at Kirstie. Even though his expression is soft I can practically feel the agitation radiating from him. "I know why you wanted me to change the rehearsal." "Oh?" I don't want to give anything away. I'm not sure how we already have. "Kirstie told me." Right. I hadn't expected her to tell him. I'm not angry, I have absolutely no reason to be, we never said that it was a secret. I assumed that we wouldn't. Based on my own reluctance to admit our mistakes. That doesn't mean that she couldn't tell someone. Just that I'd rather she hadn't.

"Ok." "She sounded pretty upset about the whole thing." I can tell he's building up to something. He wouldn't have just come here this late at night without something big to say. Whatever it is I don't feel like I'm going to like it. "Yeah she was. That's why I wanted to stay with her so badly." He nods. "Yeah." "Scott, what exactly is it that you want to say to me?" He gestures towards the seats in the kitchen. When we're sat around the table he takes a breath. "Avi. I want you to really think about ending whatever you've got going on with Kirstie." He catches my angrily confused expression and grimaces. "I'm just trying to be a good friend. I want to look out for you both." He looks almost guily but he speaks confidently, certain of what he's saying. "Ok. I get that. The problem is that it's not your decision. It's our decision." "That's why I'm asking you to think about it."

I'm trying to stay calm. Memories of shouting at Kirstie in this room are filling me with nerves and I really want to be able to keep my cool this time. "I still don't understand why this is your problem." "Because you're my friend. She's my friend and so far all you guys have done is fall out and mess things up. You just seem to make each other stupid and angry and I just feel like it would be better if you weren't together." "Well right now, we're not so looks like you got what you want." "Avi I'm not just being an asshole I'm just worried about you." I get it. I really do. A huge part of my anger is down to the fact that I'm getting defensive. We definitely have been stupid. We've made each other shout and cry and yet to me it's still worth it. Always still worth it. No matter how much we mess up I still want her. "Scott I understand what you're trying to do and I understand why but it's not going to work. I want to be with her and as long as she's willing to try then I'm not going to stop trying. I love her." He nods slowly. "Ok." "Ok?" "Yeah. I wanted you to think about it and you did. That's all I can really ask." I wasn't ready for him to accept it so easily. "Right." "You really love her?" "Really and truly." He smiles and stands up. "You should definitely tell her that."

He leaves not too long afterwards. I don't want to go back to Kirstie right now. The resemblence between this and the first time I admitted my feelings for her is painfully obvious. She's not feeling well and I just stayed over. This time though we're both aware that there are feelings involved. Ok she doesn't know the extent of my feelings but we're both completely aware that this isn't just about sex anymore. Which isn't something I miss. Sure there was something exciting about sneaking around. Memories of her biting into a pillow to keep herself quiet and of pushing her against the wall in her room aren't likely to leave my head any time soon. Not that I really want to. The thing is that as much as I enjoyed all of that I enjoyed going on a date with her even more. I want to be able to make her moan but also to make her smile. I don't want to only be able to touch her when we're having sex. I want her to be my girlfriend and Scott's right. If I want that then I have to tell her.

When I wake up the next morning she's curled against my chest snoring softly. I carried her to her bed last night and then after a short hesitation I lay down beside her. "Hey beautiful, it's time to wake up." Her eyelids flutter and after a few seconds I'm greeted by the sight of her perfect, sleepy eyes looking up at me. "Hey." "We're not really in a huge rush. We've got hours until the rehearsal I just thought you'd want to have some breakfast." She smiles and stretches. "I'm feeling so much better today." "Are you?" She nods. "Come on, let's go get breakfast." She practically leaps out of the bed and then grabs my hand, pulling me into the kitchen. "I want an omelette. Do you want one?" She's bright and cheerful and it's gorgeous. "Sure, I'll help you make them." She shakes her head emphatically. "Nope you've looked after me enough, it's my turn."

She dances around the kitchen, pulling various ingredients off the shelves and humming contendedly to herself. I try and stay sat in the seat and let her prepare but I can't resist her. I never really can. I get up from the table and walk up behind her, slipping my arms around her waist and kissing her cheek. She gasps and then giggles. "You made me jump." "Good." She sighs and leans her head back against my chest. "That was just rude. I'm making you breakfast and this is how you repay me?" I turn her around in my arms and lean down to kiss her mouth gently. When I pull away her head is tilted up and her eyes are closed. I run my hand over her cheek and her eyelids lift open. She smiles up at me. "You're so beautiful." She looks down at the floor and shakes her head slightly. "What, you don't believe me?" She rolls her eyes. She stands on her tiptoes and kisses me more passionately. I grip her hips and she squeezes my shoulders. "I should make breakfast." "We have a few hours. Maybe we could spend a little more time in bed?"

We didn't make it to her bedroom. The couch was just about comfortable enough though. I'm hovering over her and her hair is spread out across one of the cushions. Her eyes are partially closed and she's breathing heavily. "That was." "Yep." "I mean it always is but." "Yeah." She can't finish a sentence and I can't make it past one word answers. She grins "We are really really good at that." I slowly get up and walk over to the bin, stopping to pull my shirt over my head. "Well you know what they say. Practice makes perfect." She stands up and stretches and I can't take my eyes off her. Every part of her fascinates me. She catches me staring and blushes. "Sorry. I just love looking at you." "I've noticed." She grabs her clothes off the floor and starts to redress. Once she's ready we go back into the kitchen. This time when I offer to help her with the omelette she accepts. "Looking forward to rehearsal later?" She nods "It should be fun." "After it's finished would you like to come back to mine so I can cook for you? There's something I need to talk to you about." She looks kind of concerned. "Um sure, that'd be great."
