When you're happy time does pass by really quickly. RedVelvet had a really successful comeback and was now preparing for their solo concert : Red Room in Japan whereas BTS were releasing their full Japanese album. However, BTS album was releasing in early april whereas RedVelvet had their concert in end of march. The couple missed an opportunity to be with each other just by a week of difference.
RedVelvet left for Japan to prepare for their concert few days prior to the actual day. Moreover, there was one more reason for it. The shooting for the long awaited soap commercial. The day of the shoot was 26 march just one the day before Irene's birthday. She was actually excited. Since she became an idol every birthday that she had came with the fear of getting old. But just because of the acceptance of this commercial the girl was truly happy. The fear that her age will hinder her career was slowly getting replaced from her heart.
The shooting wasn't for a Korean brand rather for a Japanese one. The Director and most of the crew were Japanese. Since it was a solo commercial, the other four girls didn't accompany Irene. She and her manager reached the location alone. Seeing such a beautiful place Irene had only one thought in mind
"I wish he was here with me so that we could enjoy such romantic setting together."
The shooting started and the girl really didn't have to do much except for walking gracefully while the cherry blossoms. She did as she was told but she getting interrupted by the director again and again.
"Irene san You have to walk more gracefully...it feels like you're rushing"
The director spoke in Japanese and his assistant who was fluent in both Korean and Japanese translated. The take were getting more and more but the director was really well mannered. He patiently kept on instructing Irene how to walk properly. However, she started gering really anxious after realizing she is not being able to delivering what is required. Her last performance was actually way worse than her first one.
"Irene san I think we should take a break. We'll continue after 15 minutes." The director instructed everyone to take a break very politely.
Irene was actually embarrassed. She just had to walk but even that she wasn't able to do properly. Still she kept on motivating herself.
"Uhhh Joohyuna you could do it. First relax. You have done so many commercial. Why are so anxious about this one? Let just apologize to the director first and then I'll practice more."
With this is mind Irene left towards the vanity of the director. The door was slightly opened and the loud voice could easily be heard from the outside.
"I told you to recruit someone young. Why did you choose her? Huh? Useless people. I told you specifically that the girl should be in her early 20s maximum. I cannot see the freshness on her face. She just has to walk on a simple path even that is difficult for her. Her expressions are so stiff and it's not at all graceful."
The director was shouting at his assistance in Japanese without giving him a chance to speak. Even though Irene was not able to fully comprehend what he was saying but she had a feeling it was about her lack luster performance.
"I should have chosen the model myself. Tell me. Why did you choose her? Huh? Answer me now?"
His tone was rising with every word he was speaking.
"Sir...ahh..actually sir she the most famous female idol in Korea and she's really famous among Japanese too. I thought it would benefit the brand even before the product is realeased since she's so popular."
The assistance continued with an apologizing tone. Irene was not full aware that the assistant was getting scolded over her only.
"I didn't knew that she'll be so bad. I'm sorry. Please forgive me"
While the assistant was pleading for forgiveness, tears were rolling down the cheeks of the female idol. Irene ran away from there and walked and walked until she saw no one around her. She reached a alley between the two buildings and finally all the emotion that she was feeling was poured out from her heart in the form of tears.
The beautiful girl sobbed in the silent alley until she heard a familiar voice from her back.
"Joohyuna?"

I usually write chapters in advance in my phone's notepad. However in the past week my phone fell in the water and it stopped working. I had 6 chapters saved in it and I lost them all. 😭😭 I didn't saved any one of those except for this one. As when I publish a chapter, I usually save the next one as a draft. So I might not publish the next one sooner (not that I publish really fast but I really wanted to publish those chapters weekly. 😔
