Junmyeon's POV

...

Finally Friday. Most of my semester finals were getting over, or very close to it. And we finally got something good going for our skit. Namjoon and Jinyoung jumping in at random times always elevated the scene. And with me forever changing Kyungsoo and Jongdae's majors we had comedy gold happening. A few times we had to pause scenes because someone was laughing too hard to speak.

I twirled my cap from Lay around on my fingers, perched at the edge of my bed and mulling over Baekhyun's confession from the other day. Jongin and Yixing as Kai and Lay... It seemed absurd. Jongin was a jock, sure, but a reserved one, shy to a fault and didn't speak unless directly spoken to. And Yixing... He was as awkward as they came. A huge book lover and preferred staying out of the limelight. The possibility of him being Lay were slim to none. Then again they did have relatively the same build...

"You're delusional Jun," I said out loud to myself, pulling the cap over my hair at last. "All those tests must have fried your brain. Yixing would've said something by now." Though I wasn't so sure. Did that mean all this time, my celebrity crush was my current crush? I shook away those thoughts, finally rising. No way, no how. Yixing and Lay were two different people. I was sure of it. Though Baekhyun had seemed so sure of himself.

"Junmyeon!" Speaking of Baekhyun... He plowed his way into my room a massive grin on his face. Sehun trailed behind him, his signature stone face on. But I knew better than that. Hunnie was a softie at heart. "Sorry, I hope you don't mind if Sehun comes with us," Baekhyun said apologetically. "His father cancelled on us." At the mention of his father, Sehun's facade fell a little. I felt a twinge of sympathy. The last few months had been especially bad, as the man cancelled plans he had with Hunnie time and time again. I'd never seen him with his mom so much before. And while he never outright said it bothered him, we all knew it did. He loved his step dad, but it wasn't the same.

"Not at all," I assured after a beat. "Hunnie is always welcome to come with us." He cracked a tiny smile. I reached out and patted his shoulder. "Is Kyungsoo coming too?" I asked Baekhyun. He shook his head.

"Says he's got too much studying to do," he replied. "Those practices of yours keep growing longer. He thinks he'll fall behind." I rolled my eyes at that, but said nothing otherwise. I knew how he felt, to some extent. "What's this plan of yours anyway?" he asked, his arms crossed. "You never did say."

"Actually, Sehun being with us is a good thing," I responded. "You guys know tomorrow there still isn't performances?" They both nodded. "I was thinking of going down there. Putting on a show of our own. Sehun's the best dancer out of us." Baekhyun's eyes widened.

"You want to go down to the tunnel and mess with the crews equipment?" he asked in disbelief. I'd admit, it was a pretty stupid idea. But in all the times I'd gone down there, I never once danced. I was curious to see if it was as fun as it looked. "Alright, but if anything breaks it's all on you," Baekhyun said, holding up his hands. "Do you know how to run it?" I shrugged.

"The lights should be like running the theatre lights," I said. "I think the sound system is just a Bluetooth with a CD port somewhere. I don't think it will be too complicated." Baekhyun looked skeptical, but I could tell I'd piqued his interest nonetheless. "You gotta admit to being curious about the whole setup," I said.

"Well, yeah, but I also like all my fingers intact. If they catch us down there, tampering with their equipment, they won't be kind. Even if one fancies you. That place is their sacred ground." I dipped my head, acknowledging his point. "Are you sure this is a good idea?" he asked.
