Paul grumbled a little as he sat behind the wheel, while Serena chuckled beside him in the passenger seat, "I swear, I thought I was going on my deathbed right then and there," Paul muttered jokingly.

Serena chuckled, "Well, Jacob did punch you pretty hard."

He nodded, wincing slightly as he touched his bruised cheek. "Yeah, and your dad gave me the 'Ultimate Billy Threat Stare'."

"Oh, you're being silly, Dad and Jake, held back" She taunted, making Paul's heart rapidly pick up in shock

Paul's heart skipped a beat as he heard Serena's words. "Seriously? You call that holding back?" he replied, a hint of shock in his voice.

Serena simply chuckled, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Oh yeah," she teased. "You haven't seen them when they're really mad. You got off easy."

She patted his back reassuringly before adding with a grin, "Yeah, trust me, you're lucky Rebecca's not here and Rachel was on your side. The ladies in the Black family can be scarier than the guys. You've seen how fierce they can be, and sometimes I wonder how they're not the ones who can shift."

Paul chuckled weakly, "Right, let's not piss off the she-wolves," he muttered, and Serena snickered, clearly enjoying his reaction.

Despite his brief moment of fear, Paul couldn't help but appreciate Serena's playful teasing. "You're enjoying this, aren't you?" he asked, a hint of disbelief in his voice.
