Ren POV

" I'm starting to be remorseful that I ever opened my mouth to back you up on about this. My back hurts from the constant bending, my hands from this hideous big map and my feet from standing so much." I complained, something I know I'm good at but for the past two days we've been here cleaning, so it only increases my complains even more.

I paused from wiping the floor and look up at Tash, when I haven't heard her responding something smart my way. And its not that she didn't hear me because I knew she did and where I'm standing, almost in the middle of the  cafeteria I didn't miss that big ass frown on her face.

I could've tell she was at it again, capturing  herself into that mind of hers and walking on the paths of multiple thoughts filled with worry.

" French Fries for your thoughts?" I approached her with a bag of fries in hand, trying to lighten the mood around her but instead she stared at me with an unimpressed look on her face and clearing her throat before she spoke up.

" Uhh.... Those are my Fries by the way." She commented, trying to hide her miserable state but ended with a sigh knowing that she failed at not wanting me to see her look.

" You know thinking too much can cause a brain tumour......" I teased, obviously still trying to lighten the mood around us.

"....... I saw it on a google ad, it said that the first sign is becoming too silent which leads to a lack of communication and then......." I tired finishing, knowing I'm lying but right now I would do anything to make her smile, I can't stand to keep looking at that look on her face.

" Really appreciate what you trying to do here Ren, but trust me I'm doing okay and I'm not thinking about anything. I just really want to get it over with, with these dishes, my feet are beginning to pain me."  she stated.

" Then why the long face and the all of sudden silence?" I questioned, narrowing my eyes at her as if looking through her lying soul.

" I don't know Ren, maybe its because am washing dishes and rather work in silence to prevent soapy water from flashing up in my month." Fair point, I would've burst out laughing if I wasn't trying to take this moment seriously, but I still feel like she's upset about what happened. Ugh!.

" Well then, if you're not lying and your completing fine as you said, you wouldn't mind going to the Ice Cream Polar, to see Cereen after we're through." finishing with a pop of my now tasteless gum in my month and in attempt to bounce her with my hip as I walked passed but it ended in a complete fail.

She shot her head up in protest while narrowing her eyes at me. Spitefully pretending like I didn't see her reaction, I return to my duty at hand and whistling out her tone of voice.

Don't get me wrong now, I'm miserable within myself  too, from all that had happened but I have to admit I'm not the type to overthink things. I may do complain, a lot too, but that's only just for the fun. As for Tash, she over do everything on herself way too much and I can't bear to see her continue like that. Both of us were in that fight, both of us got detention and suspended from prom and I'm not half freaking out as she is. Sometimes I feel like, there's something she's not telling me.

                                            ....................................................................

" I miss you guys so much" she blurted out in excitement, squeezing us into a warm friendly embrace, the minute we burst through the big pink doors and stepped on the sparkling white titles with our reflections on them.

" Me too" I managed to get out but I only ended up sounding like a rat being squeezed to death.

" What have you guys been up to? Its like you both totally forgot all about me. Tash used to call and text me everyday single day, now all the notifications that I get are emails telling me about the next product I have to collect or their deadlines......."
