The Date

After 30 minutes of comfort plus a kiss, the couple were lying down on the bed. Shadow was sitting on the bed while Kath was resting on his chest fur. A knock was heard alerting Shadow.

Shadow: Come in.

The door opened to reveal that it was Silverio, who was a little surprise by what he was seeing. Shadow gulped after Kath explained that her family usually has protective issues so she warned him about it.

Silverio: What do you think you are doing?

Shadow put his finger to his lips to make him stay quiet as he felt that Kath was shifting in her sleep before settling down. Shadow let out a small sigh of relief as Silverio sat on the bed, watching Shadow carefully as he adjusted Kath into a more comfortable position so her head was resting his chest fur causing her to nuzzle against him more with a purr and a sigh of content making Silverio to smile at how peaceful she looked.

Silverio: Well, I'll be damned. She looks more happy with you.

Shadow just nodded before remembering about his date with Kath making him mentally face-palm. Silverio noticed and was a little concern.

Silverio: What's wrong?

Shadow: Well, I asked her out on a date but when the whole thing happened downstairs, I almost forgot about it. And I'm a little nervous about this.

A knock came from the door making them turn and saw the whole gang with the rest except Archie. Mephiles came forward with a smile.

Mephiles: Good news, Shadow. We were able to make a reservation for you two in a restaurant tonight and all you gotta do is take her out tonight and more imporatantly have fun.

Shadow: Thanks, Mephiles, but...

He looked down a bit before looking at them with an embarrassed look.

Shadow: I don't know what to wear tonight.

They all fell to the side anime style when something awkward happened. Bernardo with Infinite and Mephiles approach Shadow.

Bernardo: Don't worry. We got it covered.

In a few hours, Shadow was ready for his date. It was around 7 pm and he was outside waiting for Kath since Rouge with Vanilla helped her with the clothes. The guys were outside with the rest and Shadow was leaning against his motorcycle and was nervous for this.

Shadow: Guys, are you sure this would work? I mean, we both confessed earlier so is this really necessary?

Sonic: You don't have to worry about a thing, Shads. Just go and have fun on your date.

Shadow took a deep breath and nodded. The sound of the door opening caught their attention and they turned and were breathe taken by how Kath look.

Kath was wearing that wasn't too girly. She now wore black dress pants with her boots and a white mini skirt. She was wearing a white dress shirt with a blue mini vest. Her golden yellow scarf was replaced by a blue scarf with white stripes. She was wearing a blue headband with a flower on the side and has a bit of lipstick on her bottom lip and her quills were tied in a low bun-ponytail style with a bit hanging on her left shoulder.

She saw what Shadow was wearing. Shadow was wearing a white button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up. Black dress pants with his signature shoes and a black leather jacket with his symbol at the back.

Shadow walked up to her and took her hand gently in his and gave it a kiss on the knuckles.

Shadow: You lovely tonight, my love.
