Two Heroes VS Nazo And A Heartbreaking Goodbye

Thunder Kath or Thunder and Dark Sonic or Dark glared at Nazo as he stared at them in shock.

Nazo: This is not what I expected.

Nazo threw an orb at them but Dark just swat it away as Thunder just flicked her fingers at it. Nazo was shock by this but didn't want to lose so he charge at them with a fist but Dark caught it and Thunder sent him flying towards the horizon. They then had a flashback just before Tails and Silver were killed making the two to return to their normal state. But before Sonic could use the Chaos Emeralds, Kath stopped him which confused him a little.

Kath: Sonic, no matter what will happen, keep everyone safe.

Sonic: What do you mean, Kath?

Kath turned around as he saw tears in her eyes.

Kath: The only way to stop him is Chaos Control. I'm the only one who can stop him before everything is gone. I may not be here to watch as my kids will grow up but I want Shadow to be happy for me. Tell him that I love him with all of my heart.

With that, Kath turned into her Ultra Form and Chaos Controlled just as Nazo appeared. Nazo felt a hand grab his arms and he saw that the girl from before is holding him down.

Nazo: What are you doing?!

Ultra: Stopping you with a Chaos Control, Nazo!

She looked back at Sonic and let one tear fall as she said the two words that will make disappear for a very long time.

Ultra: Chaos... CONTROL!

She made a blinding flash appear as she was able to revive Tails and Silver and healed Shadow. They came to where Sonic is and Shadow felt his world shattering in a million pieces as he watch Kath disappearing. Silver hugged Mephiles as he comforted his uke as Knuckles just looked away in sadness. Sonic was comforting Tails but it wasn't enough to stop the tears from falling while they watch as their friend vanishing in front of them. Kath just looked at them with a sad yet gentle smile as tears fell from her eyes.

Kath: Sayonara...

With that, she disappeared as Shadow fell to his knees and let out a scream of sorrow and anguish for the loss of someone he held dear. How was he suppose to tell this to everyone especially his new family and kids?! He felt a hand on his shoulder and saw Sonic looking at him even though tears continued to fall from his eyes.

Sonic: Shads, she wanted you to be happy and she loved you no matter what will happen.

Shadow just sobbed as Sonic pulled his friend into a hug since he needed it the most.

It has been 18 years since Kath disappeared and the news hit everyone so much especially her family. Shadow was able to raise his boys into great teens and they were something he can be proud of. The gang all changed but they stuck around to see Shadow to see how he was doing after his wife disappeared and saw that he was slowly recovering. The gang were married and kids already. Sonic and Infinite had a son name Arthur the Jackal-Hog. Silver and Mephiles had a son as well name Drake the Dark-Hedgehog. Amy got together with a male hedgehog name Adrian and had a daughter name Marianne the Hedgehog. Tails and Cream had a baby daughter name Oreo the Rabbit-Fox. Scourge and Fleetway had a son name Slade Crimson the Hedgehog and Rouge and Knuckles had a daughter name Tulip the Echid-Bat. Shadow was just glad that his sons were doing okay but after the disappearance of his wife, he became a little distant with others lately but he was still socializing with. Lancelot was the oldest with both his parents features and has his mother's left eye and father's right eye. Galahad was the second by 1 minute had black stripes with light brown fur but has ruby eyes. Shadic was the youngest right after Galahad was born by 2 minutes and has golden eyes and surprisingly he was looks like a combination of Sonic and Shadow.

Right now, the gang all changed that they looked new. (Picture them in their Sonic Boom version.) Shadow was just chatting with everyone to catch up after a long time of not seeing each other.

Rouge: I'm just glad that you were able to recover, hun.

Sonic: Yeah. You never talked to anyone for 18 years after the incident of the Chaos Emeralds.

Shadow just nodded sadly. He can still remember that day and wished that he could've prevented it from happening but it was already too late. He look up at the sky as if it would give him the answers that he needs but nothing. He just wished that Kath was still alive and was able to meet her kids now but he can't.

Silver: Shadow, I know you miss her. We all do even her family but she would have wanted us to live life to the fullest.

Shadow look down in doubt but knew that Silver was right. Kath would always tell him to live life to the fullest and he did by raising his triplet sons with a bit of trouble but his friends were there to help him even some of Kath's family came to see their grandkids and nephews and were happy. Starlight missed her caretaker so much but was now taking a role as a guardian and friend to her friends and caretakers.

They said their goodbyes and Shadow took them home with Starlight flying above the car. They arrived as Starlight crooned them a goodnight as Shadow bid her goodnight. Shadic fell asleep and Galahad had to carry him towards their room. Lancelot bid their father goodnight as they went into their room as Shadow went to his alone. He entered the room and closed the door as he head towards the bed and sat on it. He looked at the nightstand and took the frame from it and gently took it his hands as he rubbed thumb on the glass protecting the frame as he looked at it longingly and sadly.

Shadow: I just wished the kids could have met you before you disappeared... I never... wanted you to be gone just like Maria. You were my whole world but... I wished I could've said how much you made me whole and a part of my world and that... I... I l-love you so much with all my heart...

Shadow hugged the frame close to his heart as it was a picture of him with the gang, his new family and his wife. He lay down on the bed as he fell into a dreamless sleep with a single thought.

Shadow: I wish you're still here with me... I miss you so much, my love...

He fell asleep with a stray tear falling from his eye as he dreamt nothing but wanting his wife with him again and see her again.
