Miyako's pov

I opened my eyes sleepily, trying to recall what happened. Acnologia came back, we fought and then we kissed. I groaned. Now that I'd calmed down, I was starting to feel the pain from the injury in my head that Acnologia had given me.

I rubbed my eyes, my vision blurry and unfocused but it didn't help. I suddenly felt movement below my head. "Are you alright?" a sleepy voice asked through a yawn.

"Sore" I responded, not moving since I didn't feel like it. Hands brushed against my forehead, moving hair out of the way before a pair of lips made contact with my forehead.

Acnologia stiffened when he removed his head. "What's wrong?" I asked, feeling groggy. "Your forehead. It's really warm. Like you have a fever or something" he replied. I mumbled something that not even I could comprehend as it was just a bunch of gibberish.

"Do you feel anything different?" Acnologia asked. "I feel fine. Just..... Kinda cold. Can you come closer so you can help warm me up?" I asked before sneezing.

Acnologia's pov

When Miyako sneezed, I tensed. I checked the side of her head where I had hit her. There appeared to be no infection there.

I checked undertbe bandages and scrunched my nose up, trying not to throw up from the smell. The wound on her stomach had reopened and had gotten infected. There was also serious wounds on her hands which also smelled infected.

"Your wounds opened up and what happened to your hands?" I asked. "I put my hand over a candle a bunch of times" she slurred, eyes have closed. Her face was now pale and there was a pink hue over her nose and on her cheeks.

"Is there any ponds, lakes or streams?" I asked. "There's a hot spring down near the hunting lands. Are you going to have a bath? Can I come?" she asked, clearly not knowing what it was that I needed it for.

I gently placed her down, getting up. I grabbed some things that I would need for cleaning and patching up her injuries. I then picked her up bridle style, carrying her down to where she had said these hotsprings were.

"Hope you don't mind mme taking off your clothes. I need to get to your wounds better and your clothes aren't going to do much good when we're done if their wet" I explained. She replied with a bunch of gibberish.

I sighed but did so. She could kill me later but her health mattered more then anything else at this point in time. I took of my cloak, putting it next to her clothes then removing my trousers.

I made sure everything was in reach before getting both of us in the water. For a place that had been abandoned a long time ago, the water was very warm.

I grabbed a cloth and soaked it in water. "My hands sting. Can I get out?" Miyako mumbled, leaning against me. I had her sit down and started to scrub the wound on her stomach.

Once I had cleaned it, I checked the stitches on her chest. Thankfully they were still intact and it wasn't infected. I cleaned the blood from her head then looked at her hands.

They were in even worse shape then her injury since they had been left untreated. There were blisters all over the palm of her hand along with scabs on some places and blood mixed with puss leaked from places that scabs had been torn or picked off.

I didn't even know how she could use them when they were so injured and infected. It had to hurt to use them. I placed one finger on her palm and she whimpered in pain.

I sighed and took a cloth. I took her hand and began to scrub them which resulted in a lot of pained whimpers and screams from Miyako.

When I had cleaned them, they were red and the skin was raw, blood dripping from her hands. I dipped them in the water to clear the blood then lifted them up again.

Once I'd cleaned the infected injuries, I helped her out of the spring, drying her off and putting her clothes back on. She was mumbling about being cold as I wrapped up her stomach, head and hands.

I had put my trousers back on and grabbed my cloak and put it on her to keep her warm. She snuggled herself into the cloak as I hoisted her up and carried her back to the shrine.

I placed her down on her nest and lay next to her. I wrapped both of us in the blankets, making sure she wouldn't get cold then snuggled up to her.

She had already fallen asleep and was curled up in my cloak as I just pulled her closer, running my fingers through her hair to distract me and help me fall asleep.
