I wonder

Katniss POV

Another day stuck in my room.

I really hate being blind.

But I will get my sight back sometime in early December.

When I've made enough money to pay for the surgery.

"Katniss!!!!", I hear Finnick say as he stomps into my room.

"Hey Katniss!", Peeta says as well.

"Hello. Thank you for knocking", I say clutching my guide cane.

"Oh your welcome Kit-Kat", Finnick said.

Peeta, Finnick and I have become good friends. I know their voices.

Peeta's voice is like music.

Finnick's voice is like velvet.

I've grown close to Peeta.

He's helped me through the darkness I call world.

And I am grateful.

"What brings you guys to my humble room", I say standing up.

"We wanted to see if you would sing for us ", they simply say.

"That's it?", I ask.

"And we wanted to see if you had a good movie we could watch."

"Well I can't help you with either. I can't sing and I haven't seen a movie since I was 11 . The best movie I heard was called "The Swan Princess" is so funny.", I say.

"Let's watch it!", Finnick says,"I brought the chocolate and popcorn and the SUGAR CUBES!!!"

I tell them where I think it is.

Under a stack of books Clove likes to read.

"Make it look like you never moved her books.", I warn," or else we're all dead"

I start to carefully walk out to the hallway. Even after 5 years of blindness I haven't gotten used to walking in the dark. And I don't think I will.

When the cane slides off an edge; I know its the stairs.

"May I help?", I hear Peeta ask taking my hand.

I nod and he guides me downstairs.

I feel my cheeks get warm as he holds my hand.

"Kitty. Before we begin the movie. Sing us a beautiful dreamy song?", Finnick begs.

"Finnick why are you so Finnicky?",I ask him. He's not gay. He is Finnicky.

"Okay I'll sing you "I wonder" - Mary Costa",  I tell them

They stay silent while I sing.

"I wonder, I wonder, I wonder why Each little bird has someone to sing to Sweet things to a gay little love melody?

I wonder, I wonder if my heart keeps singing

Will my song go winging to someone who'll find me And bring back a love song to me"

A/N:

(Gay: adj. excited with marriment; marry; happy)  not the other gay. Okay? Okay.

"Beautiful!!!", Finnick yells.

"That was beautiful Katniss", Peeta hugs me.

We watch The Swan Princess and another movie about war and warfare.

Well I listen; they watch.

Should I make this short and start the sequel which will be called

"The Truthful Lie"

Or should I continue this as I go.

Comment thoughts or ideas.

I have ideas but their just stars I cannot fathom into constellations.
