Peeta POV

We sit in the hospital.

Uncle Haymich.

Auntie Sae.

Clove.

Finnick.

Katniss.

And me.

Waiting for Katniss' name to be called.

Dandelion was in Auntie Sae's arms, sleeping.

Katniss had headphones on making it hard for Clove to do her hair but she managed.

Katniss was lip singing to her music.

"Katniss Everdeen", a nurse called pulling a wheelchair.

"Come on, Kat.", I said helping her to the chair. She gave me her headphones and music player.

"See you guys later", I waved at us.

We waved back as she was wheeled through the hallway.

Katniss POV.

The nurse was the nurse I've always had since I woke up blind in the hospital after the fire.

Nurse Julianne. Or Julie as I called her.

"You have to wear the hospital clothes now, kit Kat. I'll right outside the door if you need help changing.", she said

I put on the hospital shirt and left my sweat pants on.

I griped my guide cane, nervously.

The door opened.

"Come Katniss.", Julie took my hand and helped me to the wheelchair.

Soon I was in a hospital bed with a mask over my face. The sleepy gas made my head feel foggy and my eyes droop.

Peeta POV.

They informed us that the eye surgery was almost finished.

My Auntie dragged me to a hallway and said

"Peeta. We have to leave Panem. Your now 17 and you can take your rightful place with your family. You will go with me to your family or the guards will force you.",

"Family? I don't want to go. They left me here maybe because this if where I belong. I have family. Uncle Haymich, Clove, Finnick, and Katniss. I'm not leaving.", I said.

"We'll the guards will have to force you.", she says signaling two men in suits.

They each grab my arms and start to pull me out.

"WAIT.Let me just see Katniss one more time", I beg.

"Fine. But get out of the room before she sees you.", One of the guards said.

As soon as I say this the doctor comes out and sees that Haymich, Clove and Finnick are asleep so he comes to me.

"We successfully got her sight back. She's still asleep from the sleepy gas but when she wakes she should be able to see. You can go see her. She's in room 125", he says.

I ran through the hall to the room.

Katniss was asleep. Her eyes closed as always. But soon they would open. But I can't be here to see.

"Katniss. I don't know what's going on. But Auntie Sae is forcing me to leave Panem. She said that I have to take my rightful place with my family. But I am in my rightful place because you are my family. Please know that I never wanted to leave you.", I said with my hand pressing a heartlocket into her hand. In the locket was a note that I had scribbled down on a strip of paper.

Before I left the room I lightly kissed her lips. I will always find her.

"I love you, Katniss.", I whispered as I left.
