One Night, a kiss and a dance

-Katniss pov-

Today's the day of our show. I wake up to darkness as any other day.

"Kit-Kat. You awake?", Clove snakes my shoulder.

"Yeah", I sit up on my bed.

"Our show is tonight." , she giggled.

I just sat there half asleep and numb footed. To me its still night. Everything is the same color it was for the past 5 years. The songs start playing.

"Chandelier" by Sia (piano version)

I music is the only thing that helps me get up. After I get my surgery in December I want to learn how to dance a rumba. Intimate, but innocent. Simple, but powerful. But for today I shall get up and get though another day.

Peeta and Finnick arrive at noon to help with decorations and seating. Then at 5:00 we have one more reversal.

First Clove, Finn, and Peeta will dance to "Baliando" then I will sing "Chandelier" and so on.

People start arriving to the studio with their shoes shuffling on the floor, we start the show at 6:30.

I hear the lyrics of "Bailando" but I wish I could see them dance. Next year Clove will go to become a professional dance instructor. She taught the blind to dance and she will be amazing.

Soon the dance was over and a soft warm hand pulled me to where I was to sing. A microphone was pressed into my palm.

"Thank you.", I said.

"Hello everyone. I hope your all having a good time!",

Cheers and excitement radiate from the room.

"The first song I'm singing is by Sia. Its called "Chandelier" the version sang with a piano background" I said as the crowd cheered excitedly.

Third person (omniscient)

Katniss sings with the powerful voice Sia has. Katniss was born with dance in her soul and song in her blood.

Peeta saw through the blind blankness of her eyes and saw a girl whom he had fallen for. Katniss had never truly seen him. But love is not only at sight.

Clove, Finnick, and Peeta stood behind Katniss as she sang "All about That Bass"

At the end of the song and dance. The crowd went totally wild. Cheering and jumping in their seats.

Peeta stepped to the microphone.

"Thank you from all of us. Now for the final song of the night. Please feel welcome to come and dance.", he said pressing the microphone softly into Katniss' hand.

"This song is called "One Night" by Christina Perri", and the piano started playing.

Couples came on to the dance floor as Katniss sang. Peeta fought the urge to take her in his arms and dance with her. But her ankles were still injured and she was the one singing. He hoped to have a dance with her someday. Maybe soon. Katniss wished the same. For the song she sang was for him. They wished to dance with each other soon. Alone. Along to a love song.

But there are forces in this world that may change that. Promises you vow on but aren't allowed to keep. A happy ending you dwell on but may not receive… the first time.

A/N: I think this was my best chapter. Wow. I loved writing the ending. Anyway enough
(note to self: shut up @princesseverlark [thats me] your really annoying) lol. Sorry.
Anyway let me just say that I'm starting to foreshadow. I really, really wanna write the ending. So excited. So tiny sneek peek of the next chapter:
