the last good day

Peeta POV

Katniss and I we're lounging around in her room as I read Allegiant to her.

I noticed she was lightly pressing on a bruise on her foot. She jumped slightly in pain.

"Katniss. What happened?", I asked her jumping to her feet and taking her foot in my hand.

"Delly. She pushed me around again. Stomped on my foot with her heel.", she put her hands on my hands.

"But tomorrow I'll be able to see her coming. Tomorrow I will be able to see you properly. Tomorrow I won't need a guide to help me. Tomorrow I will be able to go to class for the last month of school with everyone else. Today its okay to be not okay. Tomorrow is stronger than yesterday.", I feel as if she should be starring at me with her grey eyes. But as she said tomorrow is stronger than yesterday.

"For now. Read to me please. I want to know what happens to Tris and

Tobias.", she put the book in my hands.

"Okay.,'I continued.

Near the end Katniss is in tears. I have watery eyes.

"Katniss! Peeta! I found a camera in the attic and a bunch of fancy clothes" Clove ran in with Finnick behind her.

We payed no attention to them. We continued to read on Katniss' bed. Clove and Finn sat on two beanbags and listened to the rest of the book, confused. As Katniss and I mourned at the story.

When we reached the last page, Katniss repeated the last words.

"We mend each other" she whispered.

"Can we have a photoshoot?", Clove asked after a while.

We a just looked at her, confused.

"Er...", Katniss started.

"Please!", Clove begged.

"Fine", we all breathed and clove ran off and came back with two clothes bags.

She handed me one and Finnick one.

"Put these on.", she said dragging Katniss out of the room.

I had found the perfect dress for Katniss and I will not let this pass.

"Okay. Katniss I'll help you into the dress.",I said unzipping the clothes bag.

I put her in the red dress.

I left her long brown hair in its natural waves.

PEETA POV

Clove lead Katniss out of the house.

A pair of heals and a pair of ballet shoes in one hand and Katniss' hand in the other.

Katniss is breathtaking. Her red dress slightly touched the green grass and the chiffon blew in the wind making her look life fire.

"Okay Katniss I'm going to put the heels on you ", Clove said helping Katniss to the swing seat.

She placed coal black heels on her feet a thin chain of silver decorated the shoe.

Clove helped Katniss up and they walked to the empty road.

"Finn, Peeta watch for cars while I take pictures", Clove says steadying Katniss on to a pose.

Katniss' hands are at her sides.

The red chiffon flies around her in front of the sunset.

"Kat. Eyes open. Just look forward.", Clove said lifting the camera to take a picture.

"Beautiful.", she whispered looking at the result.

She helped Katniss off the road and dragged her and I to the center of the yard where there was a big tree.

"Peeta lean against the tree with Katniss leaning against you, facing you", Clove said as a matter a factly.

I looked at her in horror and didn't move.

Clove walked by me and shoved me against the tree with Katniss following.

My arms went around her waist and her hands were on my chest.

Her lips were dangerously close.

Like at the dance studio.

"Perfect", Clove said taking the picture.

"Okay Finn. Jump in to the picture", Clove said pushing him forward.

We all stood together Katniss in the middle, Finnick to the left and I to the right.

No one would have thought that this was our last good day.
