Katniss POV

I hate Mondays. But they exist and I have to except that. I was the last one on stage in music class today so I still stand on the stage. But I love it.

I start to twirl in my dress, aimlessly hoping I don't fall. I wish I had my ballet slippers so I can dance ballet. I start to sing. A song I've grown very attached to. It holds a message that every girl should hear. Its a song by Colbie Calliat called "Try".

Put your make up on

Get your nails done

Curl your hair

Run the extra mil Keep it slim

So they like you.

Do they like you?

Get your sexy on

Don't be shy, girl

So they like you.

Do you like you?

You don't have to try so hard

You don't have to give it all away

You just have to get up, get up, get up, get up

You don't have to change a single thing

You don't have to try, try, try, try

You don't have to try, try, try, try

You don't have to bend until you break

You just have to get up, get up, get up, get up

You don't have to change a single thing

You don't have to try, try, try, try

You don't have to change a single thing

You don't have to try, try, try, try

Look into the mirror, at yourself

Don't you like you? Cause I like you

I imagine that there's a big audience, silent and impatient. Me in a beautiful gown ready to sing and dance. It seems a vain to dream this big because that's all it is; a dream. A dream that seems to impossible that you have faith that it will come true. I keep this dream to myself so it stays within me.

My thoughts are interrupted by the sound of heels clicking against the floor. Click, click, click.

It certainly isn't Peeta. Who was going to come get me so we could go to the meadow.

"Clove? Is that you?" , I call out.

No answer. Just click, click, click.

Then a hand grasps my neck and another pulls at my hair. I gasp.

"Katpiss. What are you doing. Here alone in the auditorium on center stage?", a voice says, Delly.

"You don't belong on stage. Or offstage. Or anywhere. Not even the dirt in the old sandbox would accept you."

I say nothing. She kicks the back of my knees making me fall. I feel her step on my ankles and I scream in pain. Then there's a sharp pain from my shoulder to my forearm.

That's when I blackout....
