Jayne glared at me, but stalked off into the bedroom, Cupid following her like a love-sick puppy. I groaned, pinching the bridge of my nose.
"For someone who is supposed to save the galaxy, she is quick to complain." Angel whispered. I laughed lightly.
"Let's get hair dying at least." I sighed. Angel nodded, before knocking on the door into the bedrooms. I heard a yell, and quick movements. I flinched slightly but focused on grabbing out the hair dyes.
"We need to get the hair dye in before dinner, it needs a couple of hours." Angel called. I grabbed the flannels, and a very old shirt of mine.

Jayne and Cupid came out soon after and we got to it, Angel doing mine over the kitchen sink and Cupid doing Jayne's over the bathrooms. I found myself watching the swirling dye in the sink, mingling with the water.

As soon as the pair was finished, they walked into the kitchen, Jayne running the flannel we had brought through her hair. I had to say, red looked absolutely amazing on her.
"Slow pokes." Cupid laughed, poking his sister in the side. Angel hissed at him.
"I will throw this dye at you!"

I heard the plastic bags get picked up, and I assumed Jayne was looking through them.
"What's for dinner? I'm starved."
"Angel hair pasta with some carbonara sauce. I thought we would like something nice before we get on the unfridgerated food for at least a couple of days. I'll get to it as soon as I finish up here." Angel was grabbing the last strands of my hair on the back of my neck.

"I don't get that, if we are going to be sitting ducks in hot annoying buses, why not at least do it in nice restaurants?" Jayne's whining was officially getting on my nerves.
"We need to save money, we don't know how long we are going to be on the run for." Thank god Angel answered for me, I would have sounded too snarky.
"Save money? We have ten grand coming in a month. Let's party before our last days." Cupid scoffed. I felt my blood boil. Cupid and Angel came from a home that was very restrictive on money spending, and he had always been jealous of my "free money".
"My money is going to be saved in the case of an emergency." I emphasized. I saw Jayne scowl at him from the corner of my eye. At least she hadn't entirely gone crazy today.

Everyone fell silent for a few minutes. Angel pulled my hair back onto the towel to let it sit for a bit. I stood up straight.
"Look, I'm sorry. The stress is getting to me today. I mean, just last night we were planning to have a chill day of games. Just know that whatever I do, I'm only doing it in our best interests." I lowered my head to the group.
"Luyu, we get it, but your being a bit overbearing. I mean, the universe obviously thinks I'm cut out for this, so you can trust my opinions as well you know?" Jayne grabbed my hands. I nodded, smiling at her.

We were able to have dinner in peace after that, laughing and joking around like normal. After the quick dinner, Angel washed out the dye from my hair, as Jayne and Cupid cuddled up on the couch, watching the news. As Angel finished washing the last bits of dye out of my hair, we heard a gasp from the couch. Angel and I rushed through.

There, in the middle of the lounge, the TV was floating. Jayne had her hand extended, a look of pure concentration on her face. I breathed out in amazement. She lowered the TV back down.
"That was amazing Jayne! How did you do it?" I asked, almost bouncing. She grinned at me, childlikeness in her appearance.
"I was getting really angry with the news reporter lady and I wanted to get her away. I felt a tingle in my arm, and so I put my hand out and the TV just lifted!" she squealed. I looked at her with amazement. She was going to change the world one day.

"My turn to try!" Cupid blurted out. He stuck his hand and tongue out towards a plant pot. After a couple of seconds, the plant pot lifted off the ground slightly. We all cheered and clapped. Angel stuck her hand out at my hair. The wet tendrils lifted off my back, beginning to float in the air above my head. I giggled, spinning around in circles.
