I woke up not knowing where I was, it took my dazed eyes a minute to realise I was in my bedroom. I groan from the unbearable ache in my head and roll over to check the time, 12:30pm. I'm wearing an oversized t-shirt that I don't remember owning or putting on, but in my usual drunken state I don't know what I'm doing.

A knock sounded through my room, causing my head to hurt even more from the harsh volume of it. A head peers in and I notice it's Atticus, breathing a sigh of relief in the fact it's not my dad, he fully opens the door after realising I'm awake and carries a mug over to my bed, placing it on my bedside table before getting under the duvet next too me.

"Brought you some tea, didn't think you'd be up for food." I thank him and agree that food wouldn't be good right now, the sheer mention turns my stomach. "When did you get home?" I ask, he has his own place in the city now so very rarely comes home.

"Last night whilst you were out. I missed you plus mum and dad are both off tonight."

I decide to ask him if he knows how I got home because I have no recollection at all. Wow I really shouldn't drink.

"Matty brought you home, said he would've let you stay at his but he had something to do this morning. I don't know but yeah he brought you up, changed your shirt I guess and tucked you in." Atticus relays the information too me "You were both also covered in blood so god knows what you were doing last night."

I wonder what Matty was doing? Oh shit, oh my god I had a nose bleed whilst kissing Matty. OH MY FUCKING GOD I REMEMBER NOW. WE KISSED. OH NO.

Atticus stares at me with a questioning look, he knew something was wrong seeing as I was having an internal panic attack.

"Sting, you're worrying me." He chuckles nervously.

"I uh- I just remembered Matty and I kissed last night." I say quietly, I feel Atticus grab my arm and shake it. "Owww Atti, what?" rubbing my arm to lessen the pain.

"Fucking finally, how was it?" he barters at me

"What d'ya mean finally? It was a mistake A, we were both tipsy. I bet that's why Matty is saying he's busy to avoid me. Bloody hell." I feel myself start to panic, feeling queasy.

Atticus pulls me into him to calm me down "Alright kiddo, you're ok. He's clearly had feelings for you for a few years now so it's no shock this has happened."

The phone on my bedside rings, Atticus looks at me for approval and I nod as he picks up the phone. "Bea's phone."

"Oh iya, you good? Uh huh, yeah alright, yeah no that's fine I'll tell her to get ready. Alright see you in like 20." Atticus talks, giving me no indication as to who was ringing for me.

He puts the phone down and turns to me "That was George, important meeting at the diner in 20."

He leaves so I can get ready. I choose to wear my black denim dungarees, a blur tshirt and my yellow converse to add a pop of colour. I go over to the bathroom to clean my teeth, wash my face and brush my hair out.

I make my way downstairs to find Atticus waiting at the front door with his car keys in hand, smiling as he notices me. I jump into the car and buckle up, him starting the engine as his mixtape sounds through the car.

We pull up at the diner, Atticus wishing me luck and telling me to ring him if I want a lift home. I walk to the door, spotting George, Adam and Ross sat in our usual booth.

The diner was called "Wallflower diner" which was pretty ironic considering we spent most our time here. It was hidden down in an alleyway, away from the other shops and I loved it here.
