They arrived at the reception hall and stood outside talking before they went in. The guys then pulled out their flasks, took a swig and passed them off to the gals. Antonio stood there debating if he should take a pull off his, or if he just hand it over to Harlow and have her take a pull off the fireball. He made up his mind and decided to let her have the first sip and pulled the flask out of his pocket, handing it over to Harlow. "Try it, it's good."
She turned her up her nose up and pushed it away. "I don't think so... remember what happened the last time?"
"This is fireball, not bourbon," he chuckled. "It's cinnamon, try it." He held the flask out in front of her and took the cap off, wanting her to smell it. "Smell... it tastes just like cinnamon."
She took the flask out of his hand, smelling it before taking a swig. Ethan watched her swallow the alcohol and leaned forward, chuckling. "Antonio forgot to mention one thing... it's cinnamon whiskey."
Antonio punched his arm and laughed. "Damn you..."
"It's pretty good, actually, but holy crap it burns going down," she said, handing the flask back.
"You rookie," Ethan said, nudging her. He then placed his arm around her, giving her a hug. "You may be a rookie, but I still love you."
They headed inside and stood by the doorway, waiting for their cue to enter the room. The music started playing and the D.J. began introducing the groomsmen with the bridesmaids, announcing them one by one as they entered the room. Ethan being a clown, picked up Gemma and carried her bridal style into the room, spinning her around before he set her onto the dance floor.
Antonio couldn't wait any longer to show off his bride and picked her up, carrying her in over to the dance floor and began dancing. After the bridal party danced, Antonio and Harlow made their way around the room, talking with guests until they were asked to cut the cake.
They walked over to the cake, grabbed the knife and held onto each other's hand before they cut a piece for themselves. Each tier alternated between two flavors. One flavor was chocolate raspberry truffle with Chambord Liqueur, filled with dark chocolate ganache and with a hint of raspberry preserves. The other flavor was salted caramel, a toasted almond flavored cake, Amaretto filled with caramel infused buttercream and a thin layer of salted caramel.
"Which flavor would you like to try first?" Antonio asked.
"I'd like to try both, actually," she grinned.
They cut a couple small pieces of each flavor, sharing each piece. "Yum, I could skip the meal and just eat this," she giggled.
Throughout the meal, their guests would clink their glasses with their utensil, wanting them to kiss. "This is one thing I hate about receptions," Harlow mentioned as she smiled at Antonio.
"What's that?"
"The clinking of the glasses and wanting the bride and groom to kiss.
"Oh, it's alright, I don't mind it," Antonio smiled as he cupped her face and pressed his lips to hers.
Ethan finished his meal and left the table to find a microphone. When he came back, he got everyone's attention and began giving his speech.
"Hello everyone... for those who don't know me, my name is Ethan and for those who do know me, I apologize tremendously," he laughed. "I'd like to start off by saying, today has been an emotional day, look and see for yourself, even their cake is in tears...Anyway, for all who know Harlow, my sister, knows how wonderful and caring of a person she is. She deserves a good husband, thank God Antonio married her before she found him," he chuckled, nudging Antonio.
