A loose key was pulled out from Matty's pocket, he scooped a small mountain on the end of it as he blocked off one nostril and brought the substance up to the other, inhaling sharply, watching it vanish from the key and shoot up his nose.

"No pressure, but if you want to..." He said, holding both the bag and the key out towards me.

In the past I'd seen some old friends doing this stuff, and always wondered what was so appealing about it. I'd seen some of the quietest, most shy of people, talk openly to a whole group of people, after taking this stuff. Magic dust, it was called round here.
Would it genuinely help me.
Or was I only wanting to take it because a foolish part of me was wanting to impress my idol here... Something I promised myself to never do, with anyone before.

I nod slowly. Watching as he scoopes out a small amount for me and holds it out for me to hover over.

"Just breathe in quickly through your nose" he instructs, holding it up with a steady hand.

The powder instantly irritated the back of my throat, almost tasting it when I tried swallowing the back drop down. The stench of it reminded me of a petrol kind of smell, strong. But within seconds, I was aware that not only my mood, but my behaviour had suddenly changed and lifted immediately.

I was relaxed. My frantic mind settled.

"Better?" He asks, keeping a close eye on me from my obvious nerves of taking it and with it being my first ever experience, from any kind of drug.

I let my head drop back, eyes closed, concentrating on the euphoric feeling calmly wooshing through my head. Almost warning me up, whilst calming me down. My only reply was to smile and nod.

Better? Yes. In fact, a lot better. A million times better. I'd never experienced this feeling before, nothing even close.
My confidence with booming. I felt on top of the world. Just sat, weirdly grinning away to myself. I wasn't anxious suddenly, or nervous or paranoid now.

I was, different. Like a much better, much more confident, maybe even likeable, me.

"You keep it" Matty passed the bag over after closing it up. "I have my own stash, but it's a secret, you can't tell the others" he warned lightly, noticing George heading for the car again.

"Yo, I said-" that same voice that came out of the building not five minutes before, was back at the entrance, shouting towards the car.

Without hesitation, shocking Matty more than anyone. I swung the door open and quickly jumped out. Calling back "we're coming!" As I skipped towards him, leaving Matty staring after us with an impressed grin on his face.

"George, right?" I beamed. Hand out to introduce myself.

"Ah, finally joining us with your presence" he joked. Taking my hand and shaking it. "Heard a lot about you" he smiled.

"All good things, I hope" I joked.

"So,so" he teased back. Shaking his head side to side and grinned, just as Matty joined us.

"We ready?" Matty asked. George swiftly turned, heading back inside first.

"You ok?" He checked again. Looking at me with so much concern, in that moment, once again, I was experiencing a feeling like never before. My confidence was only multiplying....

"I feel like I- I really want to-"

"What?" He rushed.

And without thinking, I was reaching up to my tiptoes, pulling on his head lightly to bring his face down to mine. His lips onto me. Feeling like fireworks were firing inside my head when he didn't pull away, and kisses me back hungrily.
