The sweet sounds of Tonight by John Legend filled the house which made Noelle wake up. She looked behind her and noticed that Benji wasn't next to her anymore. She checked her baby monitor that sat on the nightstand next to their bed and didn't see Brielle in her crib.
She pushed away the thick covers from her body before planting her feet into the white carpet. She followed the music that was coming from downstairs and was ready to smack Benji in the back of his head for waking her up to loud music on a Friday morning.
Once she reached the last step, she spotted Benji in the kitchen standing over the stove wearing blue basketball shorts and black Nike slides.
"Where is Brielle?" She went into panic mode once she realized her daughter wasn't in the kitchen with him.
"I dropped her off at my mom's house this morning. Sit down." He instructed while placing the last pancake on the plate. She did what she was told while admiring his physique. He nodded his head to the beat while pouring Noelle a cup of coffee.
"I told you—" he paused while sitting a plate of pancakes, turkey sausage, and fruit in front of her. "This day was gonna be perfect. No distractions."
She smiled before he planted a kiss on her lips. He grabbed the pink coffee mug and sat it in front of her along with the jars of creamer and sugar.
"Alright I'm 'bout to wash these dishes then I'll see you later." He told her.
She frowned. "Later? You're not gonna eat with me?"
"Baby, this day is about you. Once you get done eating I have a nail tech and makeup artist coming in. Then Diamond is gonna come through wit' a few outfits to make sure you look fly for our date tonight."
"Thank you baby. But I won't see you until tonight?"
"Yeah. That's why I dropped dick on you last night. You'll be good 'til later on alright?" He smiled before kissing her lips again. She didn't want him to leave, but he had a big day planned for her.

"Okay what about this one?" Benji questioned while standing in front of the full length mirror. He adjusted the suit jacket before fixing the cuffs.
"You look like James Bond." Ava joked which made him smack his lips together. "I'm just kidding. The suit looks nice Benji. What's the special occasion?"
"I'm taking Noelle somewhere tonight." He smiled as he thought about his plans for tonight.
"Okay. Are you gonna propose or something? Because you rarely wear suits."
"No. I just decided to wear a suit." He told her.
"Where's Brielle?"
"With ma—"
"Why didn't you ask me if I could watch her? Asshole." She playfully rolled her eyes which made him laugh.
"Woah, chill. My bad, she volunteered before I could even ask."
"It's cool. I'll get her next weekend."
