"What?" I stuttered quietly.
"I didn't want to tell you guys this story until you were ready," he apologized, "but you're ready now."
"Where is it?" insisted Alex quietly, "I'll go get it."
"No, no, no," sighed Arthur "It's not a book." I glanced up again with a look of confusion. Arthur's chair squealed as he sat back. He glanced up at me and smiled. I finished pouring the water and dumped the chocolate powder in four of the cups. I picked up the two tea bags and ripped the chamomile tea package open and placed it in the blue teacup that I made one summer here. Then I ripped open the black tea package and put the bag in the colorful mug that all five of us made for Arthur that day. I grabbed four spoons from the drawer and plopped them in the mugs of hot cocoa. I placed all the mugs on the wooden tray I had painted. The colors were vibrant and intense, you could tell that I was only 11 when I painted it. I walked over to each person and gave them their mug. Azalea was sitting in her usual spot on the couch next to the sink. Rose positioned herself on the other side of the love seat with her red fox blanket. Bali and Alex sat on the old, brown, leather couch next to where the girls were settled. The only remaining pieces of furniture left were Arthur and I's accent chairs. He was settled into his big brown leather chair that you see in movies when they tell stories. In between our seats was a small round table. I set our hot cups of tea on it with two coasters. I sat down on my large, blue velvet chair, and wrapped up in a massive, violet, fuzzy blanket I brought here when I was nine.
"Are we all settled in now?" Arthur resumed, "this is the story of a 14-year-old girl." I took a sip of my burning hot tea and settled in, this story will be long I thought.
