"After school they walked home together like usual, but this time Ebony made a plan to get the book. Tor felt worried about what might happen if Ebony read the book," Arthur continued. When he arrived home he once again made his trek up the stairs to his bed room. He grabbed his library card and shoved it in his book bag and waited patiently." Arthur said with a brittle voice.
"Once he noticed Ebony had left the house with her backpack he left his room and grabbed his bright red book bag. He stomped towards the door slamming it closed as he left in a hurry. He followed her down the sidewalk to the town square. She rushed him along as she hurried toward the square, but he lagged behind with fear about what might happen to his new friend. She quickly entered a building labeled, 221b Baker Street. When he stepped in he saw the rows upon rows of books, in a large dusty room. He turned to his left and saw her head of dark hair duck behind one of the tall shelves. He quickly hurried behind her in a rush. When he arrived behind the shelf, he saw Ebony scurry into a dark room in the back." Arthur's voice was brittle again as he looked at his feet. His voice broke up everytime he spoke a word. He continued, "Tor was pale with fear when he entered the room he saw Ebony walk towards. He waited for a second then turned around. When he saw her sitting in the corner with a small, shrill women he felt a sigh of relief. Ebony had on a thick, black long sleeve hoodie even though it was 98 degrees outside. He walked over and heard what the old women was saying, 'never go near this book again sweetie,' the woman paused, then looked away from Ebony. A tear fell from her left eye. She looked back at Ebony and said 'he had warned her about the book, but now it was too late. It's not too late for you though.' The old woman's voice was small and broken up" Arthur was gazing at his trembling hands as a tear rolled down his cheek.
He swallowed down his tears and regained tranquility, he continued with his story, "She didn't listen." I look over at Arthur as another tear fell from his face he looked like he was in a trance, "The old woman patted Ebony's knee, then grabbed the book and climbed the wooden ladder then placed the book on the top shelf in a dusty old corner of the dark room. She moved the ladder over to the middle of the shelf. They hadn't seen Tor who was standing behind the shelf towards the door." Arthur looked up at the top right corner on the shelf as he resumed, "The old woman made her way towards the door and exited to the front area of the library. Tor refocused his gaze on Ebony. She rolled the ladder over to the back corner and climbed to the top of the shelf. Tor looked away in fear. She grabbed the book and placed it in her pale blue bookbag. She climbed back down the ladder, and rolled it over to its original position. She grabbed a book titled 'A Song of Solomon' and walked toward the door. She opened the door with a load creak and Tor followed her." Arthur was crying now, I had never seen him cry before this. Even though he was in so much pain he continued on with the story, "She went up to the desk and checked out her book, Tor went over and picked up a classic literature novel and went to the desk and signed his name on the paper, he handed the lady his library card. He asked the librarian 'what is wrong with the book you hid from Ebony?' She gazed over at him and smiled, with a small, silvery voice she sighed 'It's dangerous.' She walked around the counter and handed Tor his book and his library card. She wrapped her arms around his shoulder as she walked back to the room she was just in with Ebony. She began to explain, 'that book has brought nothing but pain and suffering to all who have read it.' She gazed over at the spot were the book was supposed to be sitting and the color drained from her sweet face.
