Chapter 10

~ I'd like to say a quick thank you for over 700 reads on this fanfic! I never thought it would get this much attention and it makes me really happy. Anyway I hope you all enjoy this chapter~

"Todoroki!" A voice outside the door yelled, knocking loudly. Izuku slowly opened his eyes and sat up groggily. He yawned and stretched before grabbing his phone off the coffee table

He groaned and dragged himself out of bed and over to the door.  He pulled it open to see Uraraka, still in her pj's. 

"Uraraka it's 2am, what do you want?" He asked grumpily. 

"Deku what are you doing in Todoroki's room?" She asked, cocking her head to one side. 

"I let Natsu and Lucy stay in my room and Todoroki offered to let me stay in his room," He explained. 

"You should've asked me, I would've let you stay at my place. We could've had a super fun sleepover," She pouted.

"Uraraka, why are you here?" Deku asked, beginning to grow impatient with the young brunette. 

"Oh right!" She chirped. "All Might wanted me to come get Lucy and Natsu but I didn't know where they were, but I thought you might know," She explained. 

"I'll take you, just let me wake up Todoroki," He told her. He turned back into the room and hurried over to the couch. He leaned down to Todoroki and kissed him on the forehead before shaking him lightly. 

"Shoto wake up!" He whispered. Todoroki opened his eyes and yawned groggily, stretching. He looked up and brought his hand up. He rested it on Izuku's cheek. 

"Sho we can't, Uraraka's here," Izuku told him. Todoroki took his hand away from his cheek frowning. He glanced over at the clock. 

"What's she doing here so late?" He asked. 

"All Might's request, he asked us to get Natsu and Lucy," Deku explained. 

"Alright, let me grab my shoes," He sighed, getting up from the couch. The two boys hurried over to the door and pulled on their shoes. 

"Alright, let's go," Deku said, looking to Todoroki and Uraraka. They nodded and the three of them ran down the hall together towards Deku's room. They reached the door and he pounded on it. "Natsu! Lucy!," He yelled. "Wake up!" The lock on the door clicked and it slowly opened to reveal a groggy Lucy. 

"What's going on?" She asked rubbing her eyes. 

"All Might's summoning us," He told her an urgent tone in his voice. She nodded and disappeared back into the room before returning with Natsu 

"This way," Deku announced. The group ran down the halls quickly, reaching the stairs in no time. Todoroki jumped up and slid down the railing while everyone else ran down the stairs. They burst out the front doors of the dorm building and sprinted across the grassy lawn towards the school and went into the main building. 

"All Might!" Deku called, spotting the retired hero on the stairs. 

"Ah, Young Midoriya, I'm glad you made it," He greeted Deku. 

"What's going on?" Todoroki asked, getting straight to the point. 

"Ah yes, somethings wrong with the portal. It's right upstairs, follow me," All Might told them, starting to walk up the stairs. The little group followed him upstairs and into the newly repaired and renovated room that now held the portal. He turned the door knob and pushed the door open and they filed into the room. 

"Oh my," Lucy muttered, looking at the portal. Izuku turned to look. The portal was glowing brightly flashing different colours. The portal shook, vibrating the room ever so slightly. 

"What's happening to it?" asked Natsu. 

"I don't know. It's been doing this for 15 minutes. Lucy?" All Might asked, turning to the young celestial wizard. She walked over to the portal and put her hand up to it. Her palm glowed softly for a moment. 

"Something big's about to come through," She said, bringing her hand back down to her side. 

"Everyone stand back, Uraraka run and go get as many teachers as you can find," All Might instructed. Uraraka nodded and scrambled away. 

"Why hello there, Lucky Lucy Heartfilia!" A voice from behind them boomed. Lucy whipped around. 

"Jose," She spat, glaring at him. 

"You're looking well," He cackled, his voice dripping with malice. 

"No thanks to you," She spat. 

"You look good to Natsu, I'm loving the bandage eye patch. Very Ciel Phantomhive of you," He laughed.

"That's it!" Natsu roared, charging forward. "Fire Dragon Iron Fist!" He yelled, his fist sailing towards Jose's face. Jose jumped up, putting his hands on Natsu's shoulders and using his to vault over him. Natsu stumbled forward, falling through the portal. 

"NATSU!" Lucy screamed, running towards the portal. As she got closer, people began to emerge from the portal at alarming speed. Ex phantom lord members. 

"Star dress! Taurus form!" Lucy yelled out. She pressed forward through the crowd of wizards. She fought as hard as she could but no matter how many she defeated, more would just take their place. Todoroki and Deku stepped in to help but even together they could barley make a dent in the growing crowd of wizards. 

"Enough of this," Jose announced. He jumped up vaulting over the crowd of wizards landing right in front of Lucy. He smacked her on the head and she swayed, falling forward. He caught her and scooped her up bridal-style. She was out cold. 

"Sho! He's got Lucy!" Deku yelled. Todoroki stomped his foot down on the ground, sending a wave of ice across the ground. The ice raced towards Jose with blinding speed. Jose jumped back, narrowly avoiding being frozen. Todoroki sprinted towards Jose across the ice, Izuku right behind him. 

"What do you want wit Lucy?" Izuku demanded, coming face to face with the smirking wizard saint. 

"Well you see, this portal is currently unstable, and it needs something to stabilize it or it will start sucking things from this world to balance out the amount of people pouring over from our world," Jose explained. Deku heard a grunt behind him and turned to see Todoroki being pulled towards the swirling portal. 

"Sho!" Deku yelled, running over to him. He banged his hands on the portal trying to get through but the portal was hard as rock to him. He grabbed Shoto's hands and pulled as hard as he could trying to yank Shoto free from the portal's grasp. He could feel the panic welling up in his chest as Todoroki sank further into the portal. 

"Izuku stop," Shoto said, taking Izuku's hands. "Calm down," He told him, noticing his boyfriends panic. 

"Sho, I- you can't leave, I-," Izuku stuttered, starting to cry. 

"Shh, Izu it's going to be okay," Todoroki assured him, embracing Deku. He hiccuped and sobbed clenching Todoroki's shirt. 

"I'll make it back, I promise," Shoto told him. 

"Promise?" Izuku asked, looking up at him. Todoroki nodded and gripped Izuku's chin, lifting his face up to his own. He pressed his lips against Izuku's. Izuku wrapped his arms around Todoroki, nibbling on his lower lip. Todoroki opened his mouth, allowing Izuku to slip in. They broke apart, panting. Another moment and Todoroki was gone.
