Chapter 11

"Ugh," Natsu grunted, hitting the ground. He sat up and rubbed his head. "Damn Jose," He grumbled. The portal made a few noises and another body came hurling out of the portal, landing on top of Natsu. He grunted in pain and heaved the body off of himself. He looked at the body to see who it was. It was that boy from the school, Todoroki? He groaned and sat up rubbing his head. 

"Todoroki? What are you doing here? What happened? Is Lucy okay?" Natsu blabbed shooting questions at mach speed. 

"I don't know the portal pushed me through and Jose has Lucy," Todoroki told him. 

"What?" He exclaimed. He jumped up ran over to the portal. He slammed his hands into the portal at full force. The portal rebounded and sent Natsu flying across the grass. His hands were red with third degree burns.

"Ow," He complained, clutching his hands to his stomach. Todoroki came over and held out his hands. Natsu gave him a puzzled look. 

"Give me your hands," Todoroki told him. Natsu grimaced and held out his hands to Todoroki. He took them for a moment in his right hand and iced them over with his quirk. Natsu sighed in relief. 

"Do you have any wizards who can let us through the portal, back to Lucy and Izuku?" Todoroki asked. 

"Saber Tooth has a celestial wizard that might be able to take a look at it," Natsu told him. 

"Great let's go," Todoroki exclaimed. Natsu stood up and walked back over to the portal. "What are you doing?" He asked. He slammed his fists into the portal again, over and over. 

"Stop it, you're only hurting yourself," Todoroki shouted, trying to pull him back. He stumbled and fell backwards. Todoroki caught him and laid him down on the grass. He was passed out cold and covered in burns. "Idiot," Todoroki scoffed. He looked around, but it was useless considering he didn't know the area. He sighed. He couldn't just leave Natsu here, he was injured. Todoroki picked him up and pushed open the door to the bar and started off down the path. 

They had only been walking for a few minutes when they ran into a red-haired woman in a suit of armour. 

"Excuse me, who are you and why are you holding my comrade?" She asked, glaring at him. 

"Listen lady, it's a long story but he needs immediate medical attention. He's covered in third degree burns," Todoroki told her. 

"Alright, we need to get him back to the guild, Wendy can help him," She said. Todoroki nodded and followed her down the road. After an hour they made it to a bustling city. They made their way through the city quickly, arriving at a tall building with a sign that read "Fairytail" 

They opened the big double doors and stepped into the guild hall. 

"Erza! You're back!" A little blue haired girl ran over and embraced the red head. "Oh my gosh, is Natsu okay? Who's that holding him?" She blabbed. 

"He needs attention," Erza told the girl. She nodded enthusiastically and grabbed Todoroki's sleeve pulling him over to a wooden table. 

"Put him down," She instructed. Todoroki set him down on the table and the little girl went to work on him, using magic. 

"So, who are you?" Erza asked, turning to him. He proceeded to explain the crazy events of the past few days.

"Well, we've been to other worlds before, Edolas was a riot," She snorted. "But you don't have magic in your world?" She asked. 

"No we don't," Todoroki confirmed. 

"Interesting," 

"Erza!" A black haired boy in his boxers ran over to the group. "What's wrong with Salamander?" He asked. 

"Why aren't you wearing any clothes?" Todoroki asked, puzzled. 

"Dang it!" He exclaimed, looking down. "I think I lost them somewhere on the stairs," "Who are you?" He asked, turning his attention towards Todoroki. 

"He's from another world," Erza told him as if it was no big deal. 

"Right thanks, that totally clears it up," He mumbled. Erza nodded and turned back to Natsu and Wendy. Natsu started to groan and sit up. Wendy unwrapped the bandage around his head and revealed a long healed scar cutting through his eye. The scar ran all the way down to his his and his pupil was pure white. He brought his hand up to his face and ran it down the length of the scar. 

"Are you okay?" Erza asked, noticing his concern. 

"I can't see," He mumbled, his voice shaky. His hand were noticeably shaking and his face was pale. 

"What do you mean?" Wendy asked, taking his hand. Tears started to pour form his left eye. 

"I- I," He stuttered. Wendy threw her arms around Natsu, wrapping him in a tight hug. 

"I'm so sorry Natsu," She told him. His head was down. 

"I can't fight if I can't see," He muttered. "I- I can't protect you, I can't protect Lucy," 

"Natsu it's gonna be okay, maybe Porlyusica can fix it," Erza suggested. "And if that doesn't work, I'm sure you can figure out fighting with only one eye," She assured him, putting a hand on his arm. He nodded, hiccuping while trying to hold in his tears. 

Todoroki stood a little ways off, feeling mildly uncomfortable. Everyone here seemed to know each other and it gave off a sort of happy family vibe. It was something that Todoroki didn't really have as a child and he felt like an outsider looking in. He opened his mouth to say something but, reconsidered and closed it quickly. He sat down on a table by the side and just awkwardly watched the whole scene unfold.
