Allie and Roxie found Jacob and Bristol in the park, doing their patrol.

"Boys, we have big news." Allie announced to them.

"What is it?" Bristol asked.

"While we were out in town, we met this strange man. He said his name was Gear, and he was the owner of a secret organization in the city. He said a lot of the world's villains worked for him, and that the entire world would eventually work for him, too." Allie began. "Also...he has my sister. He has Madison."

"Whoa...are you sure we should be messing with this guy? He sounds like a big deal." Bristol wondered.

"Well, if we want to save Allie's sister, we don't have a choice!" Jacob reminded Bristol. "We have to do something!"

"But what should we do?" Roxie asked, looking at Allie.

"We need to find out if this organization has any weaknesses. If there are any villains that can be turned to good." Allie suggested. "Let's look around. Any villain around town probably works for Gear, so they might have the badge of his organization on them."

With their plan decided, the four detectives split up to look around for the villains that were hiding out around town. Allie checked the forest and park, Roxie looked around the city, Jacob checked the mountains, and Bristol would look everywhere else.

While he was searching, Bristol came across the local police station, and thought to go inside in case any villains had recently been brought there. In some of the cells were a couple of the city's most dangerous baddies; Cyan Woods and a little girl named Soul, of which nobody knew her last name.

Bristol looked at both of the girls to see if they had Gear's badge, and he noticed that Cyan did. Soul didn't seem to have one, though.

"So...you work for Gear, huh?" Bristol asked Cyan.

"Yeah. What's it to you?" Cyan replied in a snarky tone.

"Why exactly do you work for him, when you could work for anyone else?" Bristol continued.

"He pays me well, something that my old partner never did. In fact, I think she completely forgot about me!" Cyan answered.

"Who was your partner?"

"Her name was Chloe. She was a great partner in crime...until she met that stupid cricket..." Cyan growled.

"She had a cricket?" Bristol asked, hoping to gather as much information on Cyan as he could.

"Yeah. She named it Oliver, and she seemed to really like it. She didn't even want to do evil things anymore!" Cyan continued. "She was like a shell of her former self...but I'm glad that cricket is finally gone..."

"What happened to it?"

"I killed it. I was jealous of "Oliver" stealing all of Chloe's attention, so I killed it." Cyan said, giving Bristol a creepy smile.

Bristol was silent. He decided to just leave Cyan alone and go talk to Soul instead.

"Do you work for Gear, too?" he asked her.

"Yeah, but I haven't earned my badge yet. Gear said he wanted me to do a few more things for him before he gives me my badge." Soul explained. "He wanted me to try and steal some things, but when I tried, I got arrested."

"Interesting...why do you work for him?" Bristol continued.

"Because I love being evil! I used to be good, believe it or not, but it was so boring and nothing was ever exciting!" Soul answered.

"I see...but what do your friends think of that?"

"Friends...?" Soul stopped. "I...don't have any friends...they all stopped talking to me when I became evil..."

"Oh, that's too bad-"

"And the one person I always try to be friends with is afraid of me, so he always runs away when I try to talk to him!" Soul continued, interrupting Bristol. "My normal life is a mess, and being evil is the only thing that makes me happy anymore!"

Bristol sighed. He knew this girl was a criminal, but he couldn't help but feel bad for her. All she wanted was a friend, but since everyone was afraid of her, she couldn't make friends.

"I'm sorry...I don't know how to help you, or else I would..." Bristol told Soul, who now had tears running down her face. They weren't fake tears, either, even though Soul was an excellent actress. In this moment, she was actually crying.

One of the police officers came in to see Bristol.

"Oh, hi Bristol. What are you doing here?"

"Just interviewing some of the prisoners here. Recently we discovered a man named Gear who owns an evil organization in the city, and he told us most of the town's villains work for him, so I wanted to check here.

"I see. Find anything?" the officer asked.

"Well, Cyan and Soul both work for Gear's organization. Cyan told me it was because Gear pays her better than her old partner, and Soul told me it was because she thinks being evil is fun." Bristol explained. "Soul also told me the reason why she's evil is because it's the only thing that makes her happy anymore."

"Yeah, that girl's been through things. We've been trying to find someone she can talk to about her problems, but nobody's been willing to help so far."

"That's really sad." Bristol sighed. "Anyway, I have to go back to work. Bye."

"Bye, Bristol. Good luck on the patrol!"

Bristol left the police station, still thinking about Soul. He wished he knew how to help her, but he didn't.
