At Allie's house, Allie finished tidying up Madison's old room, putting a lot of her stuff away in boxes and then pushing those boxes under the bed. Allie quickly replaced the pink blankets on the bed with blue ones, then went to show Bristol where he could stay.
"Here it is! What do you think?" Allie began as she brought Bristol into the room.
"Wow...this looks perfect! It...kinda reminds me of my room at home." Bristol answered.
"I'm glad you like it." Allie smiled. "Speaking of home, your parents are okay with you spending the night, right?"
"Oh, uh...actually, I forgot to ask them. It happened so suddenly I didn't even think of it!" Bristol admitted. "Maybe I should go call them real quick..."
Allie waited in the room while Bristol went out to get his phone, which he'd left on the counter in the kitchen. He dialed his home phone number and waited for someone to answer. Eventually, a young girl's voice spoke up through the phone.
"Hello?"
"Daina? Why are you answering the phone? Where's Mom or Dad?" Bristol asked the girl.
"Mommy and Daddy aren't home. They went into town for a while and left me with Aunt Jenna." Daina replied.
"Well, can you get Aunt Jenna on the phone? I have to ask her something." Bristol requested. He waited until Aunt Jenna spoke up.
"Hi, Bristol. How are you?"
"Hi, Aunt Jenna. I'm fine, thanks. I wanted to know, would it be okay for me to spend the night at a friend's house tonight?"
"Oh, of course. I'll make sure your parents know when they come home, and I'm sure they'll be fine with it."
"Thanks! Well, I have to go now, bye."
"Bye, Bristol!"
Bristol hung up and put his phone away, then went back upstairs to the room to let Allie know that it was perfectly fine for him to stay overnight.
"I overheard your phone call a little bit at the beginning, and...who's Daina? Is she a family member?" Allie asked Bristol.
"Yeah, Daina's my little sister." Bristol told Allie. "Maybe sometime I could introduce you to her! She's really very sweet, and I'm sure you would get along great with her."
"Of course! I'd love to meet her!"
"Hey, Allie...I know it's not quite time yet, but what are we having for dinner?" Bristol changed the subject.
"I haven't really thought about it yet..." Allie replied. "Usually I just order takeout if I don't know what else to have..."
"That'll work for me."
Allie smiled. "So, how about pizza?"
"Sounds perfect."
Bristol sat on the couch while Allie called the local pizza shop and placed their order. A few minutes later, the deliveryman arrived with dinner. Bristol helped Allie bring it into the kitchen, and once it was set on the counter, they each grabbed two slices, bringing them into the living room to watch TV while they ate dinner.
~After dinner~
"That was amazing! It was honestly some of the best pizza I've had in a long time!"
"Yeah, Daniel's makes really good pizza. Maddie and I used to order from that place a lot, especially when we were younger."
Bristol looked at Allie, smiling. "Allie, I'm really happy that you're letting me stay over. I would've missed out on such a great dinner if you hadn't let me stay!"
"Yeah, that's true!" Allie giggled. She stopped laughing when Bristol leaned close to her face and kissed her again. It was very obvious that Bristol felt strongly for her, and Allie felt the same about him. She knew he was the one for her, and that he always had been. Now, Allie couldn't imagine how different her life would be if she had never met Bristol.
