My Pawn 1.5 (Rias X Reader)

Ch 1 - The Hall

Do you have any idea how happy I am writing about Rias? It's not about views. It's about one of my favorite protagonists still to this date getting through all the odds smacking him in the face getting it done. Bending over backwards in all different directions to eventually becoming the man he dreams to be. 

That being said I am going to the wedding reception here and going through my point of view on the wedding in which people had in mind for about, maybe two years.

You and Rias were the first to enter. It felt really good now. The air was very uplifting and everyone had a positive attitude. All across the board happy smiles. From Akeno to Grayfia to Millicas. Love and harmony filled the matrimony. This was going to be on record as on of the happiest days and biggest accomplishments to both of you. 

After thanking people wanting to get your attention it was time was the first dance. You grabbed Rias by the hand and waist and stepped forward. "You know this isn't my first time and hope not my last."

"Moment when you realize your husband can dance on your wedding day." She giggled.

"You know the funny thing is I don't consider myself a dancer. Enough to get by is considered dancer?"

"Borderline?" She had a confused expression on her face.

You smile and kiss her. "Works for me."

After one song you began to see how the guys were holding up as Rias the lady of the day was happy to see how her friends and family were doing. The girls all joined for hugs and some pictures and then wanted to all hear from her.

"So no regret right?" Asked Akeno.

"None."

"Think the baby is going to be a Mama's girl?" Asked Koneko.

"Oh yes. But not by much at all from what he's telling me. Hubby over there seems like he has this plan of his. I don't know much but if he does half of it he is a better man than I thought he would ever be. Needless to say I'm happy about this wedding and our marriage and even more happy about this baby."

"Think we will sort things out one day?" Asked Asia.

"You mean you three with Issei? Probably."

"Though we promised no babies at the moment. I guess I will hold off for the time being." Said Xenovia trying to assure everyone.

Over to the guys it was all smiles. They knew the words were indescribable. Months ago you lived in a neglected room in an orphanage and now a master-bedroom in a giant manor in town. Used to not be allowed inside the building and you this day forward you stand on the rooftop if you ever so desire to do so. A fly up there once in a while couldn't hurt at all. You carried tissues in your pockets just in case. They were bound to be used more and more as time went on. While guy talk was around the table you could not help yourself but catch the side angle of your wife. White hair, red hair, pretty roses. You were not used to her wearing so much makeup either. But boy did she look amazing. Almost an unanimous majority in this hall could not look better than Rias on any given day. Hard fact.

It was then time to dance with Lady Venelana Gremory. Your now mother-in-law now that is. Wondering how Devils look like they age you step forward. You two haven't said much. Now you just happen to dance and have a conversation alone which is a first. How will this go?

You take her hand and take the first step. "Hello Lady Gremory." You greeted.

She smiled. "Please Dear call me Vene. You're my son-in-law now. I know we haven't spoken much but I know who you are. Truly."

Shocked at the moment. Maybe it all hasn't come around yet. "So what do you know Vene? Wow, that's not an easy adjustment."

"Nothing has been for you (FN). Rias brought me to your old bedroom and home. Nothing can be done about that. You had a journey ahead that was tough. As was Akeno, Koneko, Kiba, and Gasper. This is your story. You have the power. You chose to love my daughter and you earned her love and trust. Now you are going to be a father. I am proud. As is my daughter and husband. I am happy to have you part of the family."

"Do you have any idea how scared I have been this whole time?" Thinking you had to earn your keep and do things a certain way while having night terrors and getting over to your new life. Only still working on it since it never left you...

"Very. Making you stronger. You might be leading the show one day. Especially with my granddaughter on the way. Think she will be a Daddy's girl." She smirked.

"How can you guess that early?"

"Oh you know women have ways. The determination, the spread for love that they never received, and the drive to never lose it. She could look just like her but she will always love her Daddy. Same with my daughter. Rias tends to be a Daddy's girl."

"Hmmm. I'll keep that in mind. Though as you can already tell I haven't hit Earth yet. I'm still floating on this cloud I couldn't even dream about at the time."

"Oh Dear I know it. Seen it happen a number of times. But just remember, we help the ones who deserve it. Plain and simple."

"Vene, I plan on being here and do more than you, Rias, and more daughter realize. When your daughter takes leave I'm hoping to ready to take place. I'll go through all the training I half to."

"And that, is the man I knew was in front of me."

Just a heads up on this one I didn't want the wedding to be an arc per say. I wanted to get enough of it. Next chapter is night of the wedding. Then it's the journey of becoming second lead to the Gremory House.
