Ch 5 - The Grind

Time to get into gritty detail. The stuff that motivated me to write 1.5 in the first place.

Just as I found myself installing a fridge in my bedroom, more rather exciting events were to occur. Well actually, more busy.

You were woken up by Rias tossing over the other side. It was a half hour before the alarm went off. Since Rias was on a maternity leave of absence for school and doing her schoolwork home, you were the only one in that bed getting up. You turned off the alarm and slowly yet carefully wiggled out of the bed. It was sad leaving the bed but you were going for a shower. Then to wait for Rias to wake up which was bound to happen once you get back in the room. Watch her wake up by drinking juice out of the carton. It's basically a fridge to only you and Rias after all. Why not?

Hoping in the shower this was a quick gather of your mind. Today was the day. The day that was going to change it all. Training day. The committment you promised. Being half head of the peerage.

This is the day I've been waiting for. The final step. I have a wife, a baby on the way, and a lifestyle to live up to expectations. I am (FN) of the green lightning. My wife and lover is the Princess of Annihilation Rias Gremory. As a Pawn I lead out in front. I attack, I do damage, and while using my head. Starting today I become co-leader. I don't care what books are in front of me or who I must speak to. I'm here. If you want me gone, kill me. Because that's the only way I'm going away.

Out of the shower and in a white robe you slowly open the door to the mini apartment slash room to realize the light is on. Oh boy. You close it gently and turn around.

Sitting up in bed with her arms crossed is the wife. "Where have you been?"

You walk over to the fridge and grab the carton of juice. "Out of the shower. Got up a few minutes ago. And here I am Love." You take a sip.

"Okay." She looked at you in disgust. "Think we like backwash?"

"If I kissed you what's the difference?"

"Hubby." She shook her head. "Don't be gross."

"Case and point." Another squig and it's gone. "We got another carton don't worry. Orange and cranberry." You shuffle pass the empty carton into a recycling bin. "Score."

"Why are you so cocky and arrogant this morning?" She huffed.

"Actually Rias I really got to tell it how it is here. You'll read through me anyway." You crawl over to her side of the bed and snuggle up next to her. "I'm putting up the best front I can't. Yeah I'm excited but nervous as all heck I'm going to do my first day of training today."

"Hubby." She kissed you. "It will be alright. I'll help while I can."

"Long nights ahead. Sorry about it."

"As long as you come to bed at night. I just know I can sleep easy when you're here. Raven likes it too. She kicks less."

"I will do my best."

It was early again and this time was with you. She wore your sweatpants under her gown as she got up along side you. In this mini apartment as it was now referred to you sat down at this little table meant for two with her over some juice. She was sipping on cranberry as you were about to take off. Just waiting on her brother and father.

"So what are Sirzechs and Mr Gremory going to do to me?" You asked.

"You mean besides take away my husband?" She shook her head. "I imagine it's some history lesson and getting introduced to some people. Don't be nervous."

"I'm not. About the people at least. Just know the workload is going to be huge." You sighed. "What a challenge ahead."

"I know Love. Some days feel like a dream. Others are rather harsh. I mean I feel bad that I've kept you awake a few nights. You haven't had it easy at all."

"I think outside handling Gremory the next biggest concern is being a father. I mean I don't-"

"Easy. You realize the kicking stops when you're around. That's sign of Daddy's girl. You'll manage. I know you will."

< Pardon the interruption. > Said a voice as a shining light entered the room. A summoning circle could only mean one thing.

"Good morning all." Greeted Sirzechs. He, Grayfia, and Rias' father Mr Gremory came in the room.

"Morning." You nod.

"Well Rias, your brother and I are taking your husband on his day off, but Grayfia will be here to assist you if needed. She is more than happy to help." Rias' father seemed excited about today. Eager to bring you under his wing. "Are you ready son-in-law?"

"Yes sir." You get out of your chair. "Just a moment." You go over and kiss your wife goodbye. She's sad and you don't want to leave, however sometimes as a husband you must do your best to apply yourself to your duties. "I'm ready."

"Well boy let's go." Sirzechs nodded. "Thank you for helping out Grayfia. I'll stop by with Millicas some other time."

"Thank you." Grayfia bowed. "Would you like to head to bed?" She asked Rias.

"Please. Well (FN) I guess I'm heading back to bed." Yawned Rias.

"Get some rest. I'll be back." You smiled and you saw the shine of the light in the summoning circle Mr Gremory created. It feels like one of those movies where the boy heads off to school to become a man. I guess I found out first hand. You can make babies and be a boy. I hope when Raven is born I can call myself a man. These are the only men I know who did it. I highly doubt these two can ever be surpassed, but I can learn my fair share. Whether I can handle this? Doubt it but I can hope. And I mean that with a smile. Hope you're reading my mind Wifey.
