Lillian's POV
Why Caroline? Why do you do this to me?
"Lillian, tell me Caroline did not just tell me the Salvatore Brothers claimed you."
"Well, you have ears and if you used your eyes you would understand that if I said that it would be a lie and I'm pretty sure we have a no lying policy in this house. So, if you want me to say that I'm afraid we will have to step outside for a moment."
"Lillian!"
"Am I to lie?" I asked innocently.
"Caroline! For the love of god, can you please explain?!"
"Why do I have to?!"
"Because you're older. Plus Lillian can talk circles around me all day." Ha, I'm good at something!
"Fine. What do you want to know?"
"What happened last night?"
"Oh like that's not a loaded question. Long story or short?"
"I know I won't be happy with the short story, so longish. Just the important details."
"Klaus and Stefan showed up to prank night last night. Klaus claimed Lillian as his best friend. Don't ask, I don't know. He tried hiding her from Stefan when he came in, because you know he's all ripper right now. Once Stefan saw her, he wouldn't let her go. Took her home with him when I was with Klaus and Elena. I'm assuming she met Damon there. When I went to get her last night, they wouldn't let me take her. Klaus couldn't even get them to let her go. Anyway, I went back this morning as that's when I told them I was coming and let me tell you between this devil in the morning and those two, it was very difficult to get her here."
"You had Klaus do all the work!" I yelled at Caroline. If she's outing me, I'll out here.
"Shut up. I'm not done. This morning, she has two sets of teeth marks on her."
"Caroline is going on a date with Klaus!"
"Only so he could get you back home!"
"We all know you have ulterior motives. I know you like him and I've been here for two days!"
"You're with two vampire brothers!"
"Stop! Both of you! I'm old and you're going to either give me whiplash or a heart attack." Mom yelled. No one said another word.
"So, you're with the Salvatore brothers..." she pointed at me, then turned towards Caroline, "and you're going on a date with Klaus Mikaelson?" We both nodded.
"Ugh. Two daughters are supposed to come with fighting, shopping, you know that kind of thing, not dating immortals, especially the questionable ones.
"Mom, I'm immortal. It's kind of smart for me to date another immortal."
"Caroline, do you really think Klaus is boyfriend material?"
"I mean... yes." She veered off.
"How on Earth-" My mom tried to speak, but I wasn't having it.
"Now hold on right there. Mom, I love you. You know that. But I will not let you speak badly about my best friend like that. I don't care if I just met him. I don't care what he's done in the past. It was him against the world and he was missing half of his entire self. I will not stand here and listen to you insult him. He has been nothing but gentlemanly since I got here to both Caroline and I. He came when I called him and helped Caroline get me out of bed. You know how difficult that is! So, if Caroline wants to date him, I'm supporting it and I really think you should join me." All I could hear was silence. What? I'll defend my friends.
"Alright, I won't say anything about the date. But you better warn him that even though he's immortal and is the almighty hybrid, if he hurts my daughter, he better wish for death." Mom said with a sigh but was very stern. Caroline's smile lit up on her face.
"I'll be fine, don't worry! He wouldn't do anything to hurt me."
"Oh, so you actually want to go on this date, huh?" I smirked at her. I knew it!
"Oh, I wouldn't feel so high and mighty, Lillian. I haven't forgotten what Caroline said." Mom looked firmly at me. My smirk quickly turned into the look of innocence.
"I didn't do anything," I said sweetly.
"You may not have done anything, but those two marks on your neck says someone did."
"Oh, well, um, you know what! I'm not trying to hide anything. You are my mother and I'm not here to lie to you. You obviously know that they claimed me. Here's the physical mark, I guess. But you can't say anything because no one forced anything. I let them do it and I'm sorry mom, but I not just going to drop them." She sighed once again after my short rant.
"The same goes for you. They hurt you, they will wish for death. Although, it is a lot easier to kill them then the hybrid. But thank you for not lying to me." I smiled at her and nodded.
"Now that we got all the boy drama out of the way, can we do something? I missed you both." I honestly did miss them. That is the main reason I came back to Mystic Falls.
"Plus, I have to bring her back by nine," Caroline added.
"What? Where's she going at nine?" She looked majorly confused.
"The Salvatores. The only way they were letting her go was if I said I would bring her back by nine."
"Hmmm. Well, are they forgetting that they have a sheriff mother to deal with?"
"Mom, I don't think a centuries-old vampire is really worried about that when the girl they just became obsessed with is not where she is supposed to be."
"Well, let's use our time wisely then. Who knows if I'll have to kidnap my daughter to see her again." Her eyes held mishap and I immediately remember why I love my mom. She's not afraid to bend the rules a bit if need be.
