Lillian's POV

"Damon! I'll be fine! I promise. It's not like Stefan and Caroline won't be there or anything. Plus, I have you and Nik on speed dial. Add to that I have both of your blood in my system. I'm untouchable."

"I know, I know. I'm just worried. We just got you. I don't want to lose you already."

"You're not going to lose me. I'm not going anywhere. I'm happy to be here with you and Stefan and that's not going to change. Now, can we please go? We're going to be late."

"Fine, go. Do you need me to drive you?"

"No, Stefan is getting his car from the garage."

"Ugh, fine. He's taking my excuses away. At least give me a goodbye kiss."

"Now that, I can do." I giggled. I leaned up and kissed him. "Okay, I have to go," I said while opening up the front door. Stefan was just getting out of the car when I walked out.

"Ready Freddie?"

"Yea, give me your bag." I handed him my bag and he took my hand, leading me the rest of the way to the car before opening up the door for me to get into.

"Stefan!" Damon yelled from the entranceway. He turned to look in his direction when Damon yelled again. "Keep a good eye on her."

"Always, brother." They both nodded their heads at each other. Stefan turned back towards me. Seeing I was fully in the car, he shut the door. He disappeared before my eyes before reappearing in the driver's seat without my bag.

"Alright. Let's do this school thing one more time." He grumbled.

"You know you don't have to go right? I've been fine all these years and Caroline is there."

"We're not leaving you for seven hours a day, vulnerable to this town's horror show of luck."

"I'm just saying, I don't want to make you do something you don't want to do," I said, obviously letting my guilt show a little too much since he looked at me all funny.

"Lillian, you're not making me do this. I'm doing this because I want to. I want to make sure that you are safe and besides, I'd rather spend time with you than without you. Plus who's going to scare away all those mutts that are going to try to touch you?"

"Don't be silly. No one is going to touch me. Boys don't normally come up to me like that."

"Well, they definitely won't now. I'll kill anyone who does."

"Mhm, there's my ripper." I smile fondly at him. He hasn't been 'oh I'll kill anyone insight without a second thought' in a while.

When we finally got to Mystic High, it was a little weird. Besides Prank Night, I haven't been here in a while. Seeing it in the daylight with the intention of going for school is different than destroying the halls and teepeeing the rooms.

I sent Caroline a text saying 'I'm here' as I got out of the car. Stefan handed me my bag once I put my phone away.

"Thank you and thanks for driving." I smile at him.

"You don't have to thank me. I'd do anything to make you happy."

"I'm still going to. Come on. We have to go." I said while taking his hand and pulling him towards the entrance. All eyes were on us as we walked in, but it didn't bother me. Whatever they want to say ir think, I don't care. I have my sister, my mom, my new best friend, and my boyfriends. Wow, that's so weird to think about. I actually am in a relationship. Oh my god! I'm actually in a relationship! It's just hitting me. I turned towards Stefan with a big grin on my face.
