Lillian's POV

"And who said I'm leaving? You see I just got back from being away for a few years and I'm not leaving my sister again. I missed her way too much." I'm not leaving Caroline again! No way in hell!

"I understand sweetheart, but-"

"No! I'm not leaving her and that's final."

"I admire your loyalty, love. Maybe one day you may hold such a light for me." His eyes held sadness. I wish I could do whatever it takes to make the light return, but family is first. Instead, I wrapped my arms around his torso and gave him a tight hug. He was stunned for a few seconds. I knew that feeling. He wasn't used to people caring. Throughout my childhood, I felt the same. Mom was too busy working, Dad went away, and Caroline was going through the same thing. Instead of sticking together, she fought by herself and left little me to the darkness that evaded my mind. I don't blame her though. That was her coping skill and that's fine.

He finally wrapped his own two arms around me, bringing me closer to him. He was a good amount taller then me, so my face was slightly smushed into his chest. He let go of me and turned me around.

"Rebekah, why don't you go check on Tyler?"

"Wait! Where's Tyler? What did you do?" Caroline yelled.

"Tyler has been given a gift. He's to be a hybrid if all goes to plan. Now, Rebekah." He nodded his head at the end, indicating he wanted her to go.

"I'm going with you. Come on Lillian." She said, looking between Rebekah and me. Klaus wrapped his arms on top of my shoulders and brought me in close.

"You may go with her Caroline, but Lillian is staying here with me." His voice held no room for argument. She looked at me obviously conflicted. I knew she didn't want to leave me, but she cared for Tyler greatly. I gave her a nod and an encouraging smile so she knew I was okay and she should go check on him. With that, the two blonde vampires left out the door, leaving only Klaus, Elena, and I in the gym. Klaus let go of me once again and began to make his way over to Elena on the bleachers.

"You know, Elena, my ripper seems to still care even in his killer state. He must have some moral fight for you everyday. In fact, I'm sure he will be making an appearance sometime soon."

"Stefan's here?!"

"Really?" I groaned. "You didn't hear anything besides he might show up soon. I don't know the guy, but apparently he's been suffering and all you care about is him coming for you? Could you be more self-centered right now?"

"Lillian, shut up. You don't know anything." There was so much I could say to that, but why waste my breath.

"Anything, for her majesty." I replied sarcastically.

"Klaus, you don't have to kill anyone." Elena whined.

"No one else has to die except you, if this goes to plan Elena."

"But how do you know that my death is what will make them turn?"

"Because my mother hated me and so forth the doppelgänger. It is what the spell calls for so that is what will happen."

"Wait. You're mom hated you?" I cut it quickly.

"Lillian, love. We are not in the moment to be talking about parents."

"But this is important! Is she the one that cast the spell?"

"Yes. Why?" He ran over to me.

"How much would you want to bet you need Elena's blood to turn them? What's a better failsafe then killing the key?" A smirk rose on his face and a laugh burst out of him.

"Lillian, you are a true genius. Whatever you want in this world, it's yours. I've spent a summer trying to figure it out and you did it in less then half an hour. What a marvelous human you are, sweetheart." He said with admiration in his eyes and voice.

With that, one of the gym doors whipped open, bouncing off of the cement wall behind it. A man with crazed eyes burst through the door looking around. Klaus quickly put me behind him. I guess he cares a little about me! Probably more then most people ever did.

"Klaus!" He yelled in a deep tone. Would this be Stefan because hot damn. Elena totally scored on that one.

"Stefan, how nice of you to join us."  Yep, totally Stefan. Klaus was so blocking my view of this guy and I don't want to miss a view that nice. So, I moved slightly to the left of Klaus to see Stefan flickering his eyes between Klaus and Elena. I tried to move farther to the left, but Klaus grabbed my arm gently and spoke.

"Lillian, stay where you are." Stefan's eyes tore themselves off of Elena and looked back towards Klaus, but this time he saw me as well. Surprise lit up in his eyes and his gaze didn't waver. With vampire speed, he ran towards us, stopping about three feet away from Klaus and I. Klaus positioned himself back in front of me.

"Who is this?" Stefan asked with a voice that held no room to deny.

"That's none of your business." Klaus spoke harshly.

"I'm Lillian! It's nice to meet you. You're Stefan, right?"

"Lillian! Don't you think after what I said, it means for you to not say anything?!"

"That's rude Klaus. Now, move over you moose. I'm a polite person and I shall introduce myself without you standing in front of me." I said while trying to push him to the side.

"Lillian-"

"Klaus! Move!" I said harshly. He gave a short, deep growl, but moved anyway.

"Hi! It's nice to see you, Stefan." I said with a smile on my face and a hand outreached, ready to shake his. Despite this, he got closer to me and took my face into his hands. Klaus growled at him, but made no move to stop what was happening. Stefan and I's eyes were locked and neither of our gazes faltered.

"Lillian, what a beautiful name, but that's not surprising. Everything about you is beautiful." His voice sounded like a melody. A soft song from a bird in the early morning that whistled into my ears. Nothing has ever sounded so soothing.

"Stefan!" Elena yelled. My eyes shot towards her, but Stefan's never moved. I looked back at him in confusion. What's going on here? Klaus wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me back towards him as he let out a deep, long and threatening growl towards Stefan. In seconds, there we two tall, muscly guys growling at each other. Well Prank Night just took a turn for the worst!
