Officer Miller had followed Gavin and Nines to the back and was now lingering behind them, hands in his coat pockets, watching them work. Nines took one final scan of the area around him before turning around to give his analysis. Reed had his hand partially covering his mouth as he stared off into space.

"The victim is 42 year old Melvin McElroy," Reed's gaze flicked over to the android as he spoke. "It appears that there was a struggle, the victim was the one who was caught off guard." Nines frowned as he moved around, recreating the scene in his head. "From what I can see, the victim had a knife and tried to get the upper hand." The detective looked back down at the body in front of him, trying to visualize the android's words.

"Well, obviously that didn't work." muttered Reed. Nines nodded and continued.

"Somehow, the attacker got ahold of the knife and lashed out. There's four deep stab wounds and seven shallow cuts. They're too consistent to be hesitation strokes though." The android paused for a moment. The detective knelt down and ghosted a hand over the dark red patches across the victim's torso. The android's analysis seemed to be pretty spot on.

"Okay, so, let's say that happened. Was anything missing?" he asked Miller, turning on the ball of his foot to look.

"Strangely enough, no." Officer Miller turned his attention to Nines. "We didn't find any knife, either. The attacker coulda taken it with him." The android nodded and clasped his hands behind his back.

"I would assume so." He turned and indicated a spot a couple of feet away from the body. Faint shoe scuff marks darkened the floor along with tiny blue spots. "Dumb bitch juice. :|" The android stated simply. Reed stood up and folded his arms, looking at his partner with a small frown on his face.

"An android did this?"

"It wouldn't surprise me." says the dumbest bitch of them all.
