I ran. I ran faster than I did when I trained Rose, faster than than when I was in battle. I was going to protect her. I ran all the way to the hospital where she was taken straight into emergency.
As I paced outside of her room I mentally punched myself while running my actual hands through my hair tugging on it.
If I had moved we wouldn't have been there. Rose was standing right there and I was going to let myself die. I couldn't have been more selfish. She would have missed me (I honestly don't see why someone like her wouldn't be glad to be rid of me but she was always insisting that she hated the idea of me leaving the world)
The doctor came out and told me the diagnosis.
