Chapter 7

After I got home from Pumpkin Picking I called Anthony and told him to meet me at the park in 10 minutes. When he gets their I see that he looks a bit down. I go over to talk to him on the swing.

"Hey Anthony." I tell him.

He smiles at me, "Hey girl How did the date go? Did he kiss you? Give me the details!"

I smile at him and tell him. "Well we are together now and yes we did kiss. It was freaking amazing! But our relationship is on the down low. For now."

"OMG! Bex I'm so happy for you. Really this is wonderful news."

We swing for a while I tell him about the date. Then I find the courage to tell him about my awful nightmare. While I tell him he looks scared and like he wants to say something.

"Bex that's a awful nightmare! You know as much as I do that I'll never do that. Even if that bitch poisoned me to do something awful like that I would rather die. You been through so much."

I take that all in. "I know you won't. Just promise you'll never leave me?"

"I promise with all my heart Bex. Anyway wanna here about my crush?" Anthony tells me all about him.

We talk for a while more then I have to go home. When I reach my house I see that no one is home and I don't have a key. It's also pitch black outside. Looks like a thunderstorm. I sit on the front step and wait. Suddenly it began raining buckets! I hurry underneath the little roof of my front steps. It isn't much protection because the wind is pushing the rain everywhere. I don't even have a jacket on. Then I see a familiar car roll up. It's Amber.

"Hey Bex! Do you need a lift?" She runs over to me with a umbrella.

I suddenly respond, "No I'm good! My parents will be home any second. Just go on driving!"

"Come on Rebecca. You know even though we aren't friends anymore doesn't mean I can't be nice."

I think for a long good second. "Seriously Amber I'm fine. The rain will be over soon."

Then suddenly she changes and waves her hands over to her car. Three people all in black run out. They head towards me. I try to run to my back yard but one of them topple me down. The last thing I saw was a bright light.

When I open my eyes it looks as though I'm in a abandon place. I try to get up but my arms and legs are tied down. I have duct tape over my mouth. It's kind of dark and I can't see anything. I struggle. Then I think maybe this is another nightmare. I try to tell myself to wake up. I pinch myself and it doesn't work. Then the door opens.

"Well good morning Bex. Thought you were dead. You did have a nasty fall." Amber says smiling.

This bitch is psycho. "Why are you doing this Amber? What did I do to you?"

"Let's see... Oh right you became my friend and wasted 8 years of my life. I hate how shy and pathetic you are. So I decided to get rid of you." She says.

I hesitated, "Wh-att you mean get rid of me?"

"Well I'm going to kill you obviously. Maybe not me but I have the perfect person to do so."

I shake my head and think of who it could be. No it can't be Anthony or even worst Caleb?! I squirm as Amber puts more tape on me. Then she has one of her fat minions come in. She has a needle in her hand. It stabs right into my veins and I'm out for the count...

*Calebs P.O.V.*

When I wake up I smile because I suddenly think of Bex. I text her another good morning text. I can't wait to see her at school today. I get to show her off. I'm going to to tell her I don't want to keep on the downlow anymore. I go to eat breakfast. When I get back I check my phone and see she didn't text back. Weird. I put on tan khaki pants with a button down plaid shirt. Before I start to drive to school I sit in my car and call Bex.

"Hey it's Bex. Can't come to the phone right now. You know what to do!"

Thats strange her phone goes right to voicemail. Anyway I drive by her house just to check on her. I knock on the door and it suddenly opens. I see that Bex's mom is histerical and her dad is behind her just staring into space.

"Hi Mrs. Sanders. I'm a good friend of Bex. What's wrong? Does this have to deal with Bex?" I ask her worriedly.

She invites me in and then says, "Bex never came home last night. We called and called her then we heard her phone ringing outside in the front and found it in the garden. We called the police as soon as possible. Their coming over now."

"Mrs. Sanders I'm sure your daughter is okay. I know she has to be. She'll be home soon. It'll be okay I'll be here." I take hand and smile.

A few mintutes later the police knock on the door. I invite them in. I help Mrs. Sanders tell them everything. The police ask all sorts of questions.

"Are you sure she didn't maybe runaway with a secret boyfriend?" The policeman asked.

I pause then say. "We didn't want to tell anyone yet but Mrs. Sanders I'm dating your daughter. We went out on our first date a few days ago."

Mrs. Sanders glares right at me. "Really she is? Your amazing Caleb really."

"Yes she is. I would and will never do anything to hurt her. I swear on my life." I tell them declaring myself. "I know we only been going out for a few days but I'm falling deeply and deeply in love with Rebecca more and more each moment."

Her mom just breaks down and then I comfort her. The rest of the day was a blur.
