Chapter 8

        *Bex's P.O.V*

        I wake up to someone yelling. I wish I was at home or with Caleb. Why can't he just save me now! I see someone being lead into the room with Amber. OMG! It's Anthony. No this dream isn't coming true. It can't be.

        "Listen up bitch. We are going to let you go but first we have to make sure you don't tell anyone not even your dog that we kidnapped you and did this." Amber says then she slaps me in the face.

        I scream in pain. "OWW!! Why god why does this have to happen to me!!?? Anthony what are you doing here?"

        "Didn't I say to shut up and listen?!" She punches me harder.

        Amber takes Anthony's hand. "Why don't you give it a try? Should her how much you hate her!" 

        He just stands there. 

        "DO IT!" Amber yells.

        He playfully slaps me across the face. It didn't hurt. She throws him out the room. 

        Now just her and me. She slaps me five times in the row then punches me in the stomach and tosses me on the ground. She holds me up against a wall and pounds my head into it. Next she throws me on the ground and kicks me in the legs and stomach repeatedly cursing me out. Suddenly she stops.

        "Now if you tell anyone I did this I won't stop next time. Now get up!" Amber yells.

        I get up and then she puts me out and everything turns black once again.

        My eyes flutter open and all I see are trees and clouds. It looks like I'm in the woods. Its raining and my body is all muddy. Even my shoes were taken off. I feel very damp and uncomfortable. In the distance I hear people and I try to scream help, but my voice is too hoarse. I hear a familiar voice.

        "BEX! WHERE ARE YOU?" They scream.

        It's Caleb!

        "H-e--l-p." I try to say but it doesn't work.

        I try to stand up but that doesn't work either. I barely remember what happened. I can barley see altogether. The voices get closer. When they get closer I try to scream again.

        "Help!" It's pretty loud enough.

        Caleb screams, "BEX!!"

        I see him suddenly running to me. He lifts me up and then places me down again to put his jacket on me.

        "Oh my. Looks like you have a broken leg does it hurt? Who would do this to you?" Caleb blurts out in anger.

        I calm him down. "I don't know. It does it hurt though just relax I'm fin--" I stop to throw up.

        Then everything goes really blurry. I can't see him clearly. Caleb sees how weak I look and me squinting so he picks me up after I threw up and rushes me to what looks like an ambulance. I hear faint voices crying then I see someone in a black hoodie flashing a camera. I just pass out right then. 

        When I wake up the next day in the hospital I see my Mom and Dad waiting at the end of my bed. My dad's sleeping but my mom's awake. She runs out the door to tell the nurse then she smiles and rushes by my side to hold my hand. Everything hurts. My leg is in a purple cast going all the way up my leg. 

        My mom says, "Thank god your alright and we found you when we did. If we didn't then I wouldn't know what to do. How are you feeling sweetie?"

        "Okay. Everything hurts real bad. I can't see well either." I say in a raspy voice.

        She sits on the bed. "I know sweetheart. It must hurt like hell but the doctor said it could be much worse."

        The nurse and doctor come in a second after.

        He looks at my condition. "Rebecca glad to see your awake. I'm Dr. Poalers. How are you feeling?"

        "Everything hurts and I can't see well. What's wrong with me?" I ask.  

        He shifts over to me. "Well you fractured your leg, broke 6 ribs, your half blind in both eyes but it's only temporary not permanent and lastly you have a concussion. But we'll give you strong pain medicine every 4 hours and I'll be back to check on you this evening."   

        My mom says thank you as the doctor leaves. The nurse put the medicine in my IV fluid/salien bag whatever it's called. An hour later Caleb comes to visit me. He's carrying flowers and a giftbag.

        "Hey beautiful. How are you feeling?" He smiles at me.

        I smile at him back. "Awful. I feel like I got hit by a bus."

        "Well I have a present for you that will help you survive in this hospital." Caleb hands me the bag. He then offers my mom and dad that it they want they can go get something to eat.

        They leave the room. Caleb sits on my bed while I open my present. First I take out my favorite candy which is KitKats & Lindt chocolates. Next thing I see in the bag is a mix tape he made for me. Finally a few of my favorite movies.

        I smile, "Thank you so much! I love all of it." 

        "I knew you would. What did the doctor say?" He asked.

        I tell him what the doctor said to me. He gets all upset once he really looks at me and hears about my condition.

        "Oh my Bex. Thats's horrible who would do this to you? Why would they lay a hand on you?" Caleb says tearing up. He's very sensitive.

        I tell him. "I don't remember. I think I was drugged. I do recall someone yelling and hitting me over and over again."

        Caleb gets up suddenly. He's gets angry and starts saying how he wants to kill the person who did this to me. A little while later my parents come back. Then the doctor comes in an hour after that. 

        "Hello Rebecca. I'm back how are you feeling now?" Dr. Poalers asked.

        I sit up. "I'm okay. My heads been hurting really bad." 

        The doctor and the nurse look over the results from my CAT scan from yesterday. 

        He says, "Well from looking over your results were going to have to do surgery again as soon as possible. You have an abrasion. You'll be going down to the O.R. in a few minutes."

        "Is she going to be okay??" Caleb says intently.

        Dr. Poalers turns to him, "We'll do our best. It's a good thing we caught it."

        He goes out the door. My mom hugs me and starts to cry. My dad stays quite. Caleb tries holding back his tears but can't. When I se him crying I cry too. The nurses prep me to go down to surgery. While in the hallway I see Anthony on a stretcher passing by. He looks awful and he's going down to another O.R.(operating room).

        I cry out his name, "Anthony!!"

        "Bex?" He says then he passes out.
