The light crosses over her eyes once, twice, three times. After it goes away, Willa blinks in order to get rid of the black and blue spots."How are you feeling today?"
"Not much different than usual."
"And how's the ringing in your ears?"
"Bothers me most in the mornings or if there's a loud noise in the house."
"Any heart palpitations or blurry vision?"
"We go over this every week. It's all the same Kayla."
Willa looks to her doctor sitting on the couch opposite of her. She's a fairly pretty lady. Dark red hair, snow white skin, and creamy brown eyes that could calm anyone down from a panic attack. She's also one of the few people Willa trusts, having treated her since she was diagnosed early on.
"You know I have to ask you these questions."
"Yeah, yeahhhh..."
"Have you noticed any bumps on your back or in your ears?"
"Nope."
"Have—"
"Yes I've been taking my medication, yes I still trip over everything, and no I haven't waken up in the middle of the night from pain."
"Ok smarty pants."
"Your vitals are normal for now. But you could eat a little more. Glucose was a bit low."
"That it?"
"Why? You trying to get rid of me or something?"
"Course not. How could I send you and your spicy personality away like that?"
Kayla chuckles, getting ready to leave after putting away all of her equipment.
"Have any plans for today?"
"Gotta water the garden. Might paint a bit too."
"Next time I come, you better have one ready for me."
"I will."
"Alright. See you next week weirdo."
"Adios."
Through every surgery and each therapy appointment, Kayla has always been there for Willa, even when she became quiet, closed off, and distant from everyone a few years ago during a phase of depression. Surgery after surgery with doctors telling you there's no hope for a cure, in this case, tore her apart. With encouraging words and a few paint brushes, Willa is better and happier then she ever thought she could be. But, anxiety about people has never gone away.

What do you think she has?
Let me give you a hint.
Symptoms:
• ringing in the ears
• poor balance
• head achesI may write stories where the characters have some sort of medical condition, but when I write about symptoms, don't try to diagnose yourself from them. If you think somethings wrong, talk to your doctor about it
