A/N: these next two chapters will be each of the twins thoughts on Y/N. They will be set just before Christmas in first year, so a bit of a time jump.

It had been about 3 months since I had first met Y/N. I had thought she was pretty from the start, with her h/l h/c hair, and her e/c eyes that looked as if they held the universe within them.

Okay, so maybe I thought she was a bit more than pretty, I knew she was beautiful. I knew I couldn't tell her though. I knew she fancied that Hufflepuff boy, Diggory. I couldn't deny he was good looking, but still, every time he made her laugh or blush I felt jealousy boiling up inside of me.

I was still happy to have her as a friend though. She never ceased to make George and I laugh. She was the kind of person that would call out things in the middle of class to make people laugh, and she was always hilarious. I even saw McGonagall crack a smile once, and I swear I saw Snape smirk once, not before deducting 10 house points. She almost always joined in on our jokes and pranks, only not participating when she felt homework or studying was more important. She was also really good at thinking up ideas for pranks too. I mean she had told us about how her Pops and Uncle had been their generations Hogwarts pranksters, so it only seemed natural.

She was also very easy to make feel guilty, not in a bad way though. If George or myself had forgotten to do our homework, and we needed help, we could turn to her with puppy dog eyes, and say something along the lines of "How would you feel if we failed first year, and you could have stopped it?". That one usually worked.

George was the only one who knew how I felt about Y/N. I hadn't even told him. He worked it out, which didn't surprise me, we knew each other like the back of our own hands. He didn't help in trying to keep the secret though. Whenever there was a chance he would dash of saying something like "Fred really needs to talk to you." or "Fred you should tell Y/N/N about that thing you were saying earlier.", leaving us alone, Y/N with a questioning look on her face, and I would make up something silly. George also nudged me really hard whenever she approached us and I hadn't noticed she was coming yet. I had several bruises because of it.

We had invited her to stay with us over Christmas. I was hoping I could spend some one on one time with her, away from Cedric, but she had understandably declined, saying she wanted to spend it with her parents, but that maybe we could all catch up to exchange presents.

I really hoped we would...
