Y/n sat alone in her dark bedroom. She hadn't left the room except to eat or go to the bathroom in over a week. Both her dad and pops had tried to get her to open up, but the loss of the friendship she had with the twins had driven her into a dark hole.

She was sat, cross legged on her bed, staring at all the pictures in her lap that she had of her and the twins. Tears were slowly trickling down her cheeks. She had messed up. And messed up badly. Why did she have to kiss Fred back? Why? I mean she couldn't lie that she didn't like it...

'No, stop it. You liked George first. But just because you like someone first doesn't mean you like them more...

Oh god, they're my best friends, you should be able to talk this out. But they were ignoring me.'

Y/n grabbed a piece of parchment and a quill, under the intention of writing to them. But what would she say? Oh I'm sorry for fancying both of you, would you please forgive me? What kind of letter would that be.

Suddenly, she heard voices at the door. "Oh god this can't be good." y/n muttered to herself. She crept to the door, and opened it a smidge, trying to hear what the voices in the hall were saying.

"Thanks for coming. She's barely left her room since she got home, and she won't tell us what happened." she heard her dad saying. Y/n cringed internally.

"It's no problem, she just probably needs another girl to talk to." she sighed in relief. Aunt Lily, that wasn't so bad. She heard people coming up the stairs, so quickly, and quietly, closed her bedroom door, and went and sat down on her bed cross legged.

There was a soft knock on the door and it opened. "Hey sweetheart, Lily's here. Thought you might like to say hi." Remus said, as he opened the door wider, allowing Lily access to come in. Y/n gave Lily a small smile as she came closer to the bed. "Happy Birthday y/n/n. This is from James, Harry and I." she said, handing her a small box. Y/n muttered a small, "Thanks." before adding to the pile of partly opened presents next to her bed.

"Your parents told me you've been having a bit of a difficult time. Do you wanna talk about it?" Lily asked, rubbing y/n's arm as she sat in front of her on the bed. In response, she just looked down at the photos surrounding her. Lily noticed and looked down at the people smiling and waving in the moving pictures, and smiled sadly. "The boys? Did they start fighting over you?" Lily joked, but then tears started trickling down the thirteen year-old's cheeks, and the older woman enveloped the younger one in her arms. Lily hushed as she rubbed y/n's back comfortingly. "What happened?" she whispered.
