Tell Me The Truth

"Ma!" I called my mama who's inside our house, probably cleaning or cooking.

"Shy! Nak!" I chucked when I heard my mama's voice. Still loud as ever.

I saw her peak from the kitchen door, lumabas siyang may hawak pang sandok sa kanang kamay.

"Ba, atsu ya pala ing soon to be son ku e!" I rolled my eyes when my mama made her way to Gabby instead of my way. She embraced Gabriel with all her heart.

"Kumain na tayo doon sa hapag, tara na.. Shyrelle, pumasok na kayo ni Gab sa loob." She said happily, glad that I am able to see her smiles again in person and not through video call.

Pinag handa kami ni mama, but after lunch I was the one who fixed the table.

Our lunch went well. No, it was something else. Mama and Dada talked with Gabby the whole day like they were long lost best friends, while I was just watching them. I can see happiness in Gabriel's eyes and I am very happy for that. He's really fond of my family, in fact he always like spending time here in Pampanga.

"Ilang araw naman kayo dito?" Mama asked, we haven't told her that we are going back to metro the day after tommorow.

"Kinabukasan ng bukas ma.." I replied. She nodded her head. We don't know where Gabby and Dada are, so we were left here in our kitchen together.

We were talking with stuffs like work. My sister, Shayne is out of the country because of her work so it was just mama and Dada at home.

"Nak, siguradu naka kaya? Iya na ba talaga?"

I shifter my gaze at my mother. "Yes ma, siya na talaga." I replied, I sticked my attention to the potato I am peeling. Mama said she's going to cook adobo later for our dinner.

"If he is really the one you are going to spend your lifetime with anak, be sure to guard your heart. Heartbreak is just around the corner, and I know your relationship with Gabriel has been very cool. You have to be prepared anak, things wont always be as glorious as it is today.."

I don't want to deny but I felt fear pinched my heart.

"Ah!" I grimaced, I accidentally peeled a skin on my index finger. Ibinaba ko ang peeler, I put pressure on it so the blood can escape, I heard mama said she's going to get the first aid. I just nodded my head.

I was just staring at my finger while my blood is gushing out from it, right here and right at this moment I knew that there is something big going to happen between me and Gabriel.

Like a tsunami who's going to wash out our relationship, it's goal is to wreck both of our lives.

We decided to go back in the Metro the other day. Our visit was cut short due to an unexpected call from our Boss.

Gabriel was needed to back up an international flight, an emergency happened to the in charged Pilot. I, on the other hand, decided to go back too because I received a message coming from Gabriel's mom that night.

Aunt Caroline:

Shy, I am sorry for bothering you and Gabby on your visit there in Pampanga, but could you please go back here in the Metro tomorrow? Please anak, I have something to tell you. And please, do not tell Gabriel about this. Just call me when you get back, take care hija. Take care of my son.
