"(Y/N). Wake up. Breakfast's here."
I shot up. I love food. I looked around and saw the nurse. I sighed I was still in the hospital. I didn't want to be in the hospital, I just wanted to go home. If I am in the Ouran dimension, I should be laughing on floor at the Host Club not stuck in some hospital room.
"What's for breakfast?" I asked dreading hospital food. Is it worse than airplane food? Is it better? I hope it's better.
"Sorry, there's no actual breakfast, it's almost lunchtime. I had to say that otherwise you wouldn't wake up. Plus, you've got a visitor." The nurse replied stifling a giggle.
"But I'm hungryyyyyyyyy..." I whined, dragging out my sentence.
"Sorry (Y/N), I'll bring you lunch in a couple of hours."
My face fell. She noticed and passed me a sweet/candy that was in her pocket.
"Here," she whispered. "You need it more than I do. I'm going to let your visitor in now. He's... um... a bit... insensitive? So if he something mean don't take it to heart. I'll be back in a couple of hours with lunch. Okay?"
Wait a minute. My visitor is a guy? Ok?
"You can let him in."
The nurse opened the door and in he walked.
In walked a tall male with black hair and onyx eyes, some would call him handsome, but I, I call him (Insert adjective here.)
In walked Kyoya Ootori.
Oh no. This won't end well.
"(Y/N) is it?" Kyoya wondered.
"Yep. That's me. And you are?" I replied. I know who he is. But in order to not be weird, I need him to say his name before I say it.
"Ootori Kyoya. I'm just here to ask some questions."
'Really? ReALly? Sure you are.' I thought.
"Sure. What do you need to know dude?" Oops that slipped out. Ah well could be worse.
"Please don't call me dude."
"Okay, sorry?"
"Thank you. So first question. What's your full name, age, date of birth and country of origin?" He asked staring at me, probably to see if I'm lying.
"(Y/N) something. I'm not really sure what my last name is. Do you know?"
"No. Sorry." He didn't sound sorry. Yup, this is Kyoya.
"That's quite alright, I am 16 I think. My birthday is in August. 27th maybe? I'm from (C/N). That's here we were flying from. What's the next question?"
"Do you remember what happened?" Technically I remember a lot of it. But if I'm going to keep up my amnesiac act, I need to cut some of it.
"We were on the plane and then I was sleeping... and there was screaming... my mom was there and my dad... and we hugged and I don't remember." I didn't even realise but a tear fell down my cheek. I wiped my face violently.
"Okay," He said a bit kinder this time, but his eyes, still cold and calculating. I don't think he can read me. HA!
"Hey, can I ask some questions about you?" This will be fun.
"Go ahead." He sighed. I think he's bored. I laughed on the inside.
"So who are you?"
"Ootori Kyoya. 17. 2nd year student at Ouran Acadamy."
"Oooo snazzy. Fancy school huh?" I will enjoy this. A lot.
"You could say." Short answers. Boring. Where is the tea? Where is the gossip?
"Do you have any friends?" I ask even though i know the answer.
"Yes, I would say 6 but some cough cough Renge would say 7."
"Are they all at your fancy school?"
"Yes."
"Do you have any family?" Kyoya tensed. I hit nerve, well done me.
"Yes, we are very successful."
"Oh yeah, you guys own the hospital. I forgot about that."
Kyoya looked like he wanted to die. In all honesty, I'm totally being annoying on purpose.
"Can I call you Kyo?" I asked.
"No."
"Oh... Do you want to tell me about your friends?"
"Not really." He replied uninterested.
"So, did you only come in here to ask me about... well, me?"
Kyoya sighed. Finally, he's letting the cat out of the bag.
"My father believed that having someone who was the same age as yourself might be better to find out information rather than having doctors question you incessantly and risk stressing you out."
So Kyoya wasn't going to stress me out?
"Well, that's very nice of you to volunteer Kyo." I grinned.
"I told you. Don't call me Kyo."
"Too bad. The nickname stays."
"Fine, then I will call you (N/n)."
"No. My friends call me (N/n). And I don't have any friends." I replied flatly. It was the truth after all.
The sound of a cellphone ringing cut through the awkward silence and Kyoya answered it.
"Yes....Yes....I'm coming....NO!...Don't do that.....DON'T DO THAT!!!" Kyoya raged on his cellphone to whom I could only assume was Tamaki. I gawked up at him, questioningly.
"I have to go." Kyoya answered my staring defeatedly.
"Okay. Bye Kyo." I smiled at him.
"Bye (Y/n)." He returned and left the room.
The emptiness Kyoya left in the room was replaced by the nurse from this morning, bringing me lunch.
"Yesssssssss. Food." I drooled over the food. I hadn't eaten in hours.
The nurse laughed at me. "How's day 1 been so far? I hope Mr Ootori wasn't too insensitive?"
"Nah." I replied, stuffing my face.
"That's good. I brought you a couple books from my house."
The nurse passed them over to me and I scanned the titles.
"Thank you again... umm? I so sorry but what's your name?"
"I'm Karin Zukashi."
"Thank you Karin." And she turned and left.
I was not going to be bored this afternoon.
Just a quick authors note:
It is cannon that all the hosts learn English. And as this is fancy school, they most likely learn English to a very high standard, meaning that all the hosts can speak english.
Also you cannot speak Japanese but we'll get to that later.
