Lilliana Snape Book One (re-written)

Part 1

Hey guys, just to say that I haven't made Snape quite as cold toward Lilly and I've also given Lilly a bit more of a backbone; I have to admit that I wrote her as a rather pathetic snivelling child with daddy issues in the unedited version and I can't even read the first few books because my poor writing in them really embarasses me!

Anyway, here's part one of the new and improved Lilliana Snape; let me know what you all think (:

I held the letter in my hands as though it was made from expensive china, the kind that grandmothers have on display but never use, and sat down on the stairs just staring at it.

The envelope was thick and bulky and kind of yellowish in colour; on the back, written in green ink, was my name and address.

I grinned to myself and muttered “always so precise” before turning the letter over and, without bothering to scan the front of the envelope, tore it open. Inside were two pieces of parchment folded together; I’d seen it before, my dad uses it, but I’d never been given the chance because I use paper, just like everyone else at my school. The feel of it was new to me and I decided that I’d rather not use paper anymore if parchment was going to be an option.

Unfolding the parchment, I read;

HOGWARTS SCHOOL 
of WITCHCRAFT and WIZARDRY 

Headmaster: Albus Dumbledore 
(Order of Merlin, First Class, Grand Sorc., Chf. Warlock, 
Supreme Mugwump, International Confed. of Wizards) 


Dear Miss. Snape, 

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment. 
Term begins on September 1. We await your owl by no later than July 31.
