Fred and I snuck behind a tapestry, before we reached the entrance hall, so that I could cast the charm on Fred’s jumper.

“I take it that you remembered the jumper?” I asked him as I took my wand out of my jeans pocket.

“Jumper?” He asked, looking confused.

“Fred!” I sighed in exasperation “you had one job!”

He started laughing “chill out, I’ve got it.” He pulled out, from beneath his top, the jumper his mother had knitted him for Christmas.

I rolled my eyes and threw it on. Fred isn’t a big guy but I probably could fit two of me inside it. “Jeez, Fred, what have you done to this? It’s all stretched!”

“Are you calling me fat?!” Fred asked, looking offended. I actually thought that he was being serious until his face cracked into a grin and he snorted again. “Man, Lil, you’re so easily fooled. No, Lee, George and I decided to see how many pillows we could sneak down to Binn’s class, the other day.”

“Well that’s not strange at all” I replied “did you get caught?”

He shook his head “nope and I slept like a baby.”

I smiled as I shook my head before casting the mirroring charm. “I hope this works” I sighed as I stashed my wand back into my pocket.

“Only one way to find out” he smiled.

“Fred, George?” McGonagall looked confused “I thought you’d already gone through?”

“I think you’re going senile in your old age, Professor” Fred told her seriously “honestly, I’m starting to worry about you.”

“I assure you that my mental health is fine, Mr Weasley, but thank you for your concern”

Fred saluted her with a grin “any time professor; now, are we good to go?”

“Yes, yes, of course.” She then eyed the two of us for a moment and I began to worry that my charm hadn’t worked properly. “Behave” she stated “I don’t want any more complaints from the villagers about the two of you; is that understood?”

“Oh, Minerva” Fred sighed “there are only so many promises that I can make and keep. Please don’t make me lie to you.”

McGonagall sighed before waving us away. “I can’t believe you can talk to her like that and get away with it!” I laughed “if that were anyone else-”

“She loves me” he shrugged with a grin before saying “and anyway, I can’t believe your charm worked…well…actually I can but seriously, Lil, that was amazing!”

I blushed at his compliment but waved him off “it’s not a hard charm.”
