Rey fidgeted with her engagement band. The diamond was sparkly and gave off electrifying rainbows when in the sunlight. Poe placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Calm down, will you? We've gone through these rehearsals a million kriffing times." He chuckled lightheartedly.
"Mhmm. And I suppose Jae will be there?" Poe had met Jae at a bar around a month ago. They both had good chemistry.
Poe nodded. "I can expect to have a niece in... what? Seven months now?"
"Oh? Confident it's a girl, are you?" Rey smiled.
"Yup. I'd bet you my X-WING it'll be a girl." Poe grinned back and crossed his arms.
"I'll take you up in that offer." Rey raised a brow teasingly.
  "Miss Rey? It's time."
The fake ceremony took what seemed forever, Rey supposed that was an improvement, considering these things were weekly. Ben was obsessed with it being perfect for not just him, but for Rey and the baby.
"No, no. The flowers go over there." Ben pointed at a pillar with frustration. "The candles over there. Just switch their positions."
"Ben, take a breath." Finn muttered. "We still have a month."
  "Exactly!"
"These are weekly, four times a week. It'll be fine by then."
Ben arched his back and sighed. He could possibly lay off on the control freak side of him for a little while. This was supposed to be leading up to the happiest day of his life; and he was ruining it. The ceremony went smoothly, with no interruptions. Ben was thankful.
  "Drinks?" Finn asked Poe after.
"Sure. Maybe Jae would want to tag along." Poe smiled genuinely and motioned for Jae to come over.
Jae was a stunning female, with long, bold cerulean blue hair tied back with a cream colored cloth strip.
"Finn was wondering if you'd want to join us for drinks. Normally, Rey would join us but... you get what I mean." Poe laughed.
"I'll take you up on that offer, Dameron. I think we should be properly introduced anyway." Jae smiled.
"Well, what about right now?" Poe suggested, shrugging. Jae agreed.
"Hey, Finn. This is Jae- the girl I talked to you about." Poe said shyly.
"Ahh, Dameron. Only good things, I hope. Otherwise I'd have to kick your ass." Jae laughed. "Hi, Finn, is it?"
He nodded in response. "You're very beautiful."
Jae blinked, seemingly taken aback by Finn's sudden comment. He looked embarrassed.
"Oh, I-I'm sorry." He apologized immediately.
Jae smiled again and waved off his apology. "No worries. It's nice to be complimented every once in a while. So, drinks?"
The new trio happily discussed about each other's interests. Although Finn didn't know much about X-WINGS and all that, he was surprised to see that they were okay with it.
"Okay, wait. You've never flown a WING? How do you know so much?" Finn asked.
"My mum was a BLUE SQUADRON leader way back when in the Resistance. She taught me and my dad all we know." Jae chuckled.
Finn couldn't help but feel a little jealous deep down.
"Ahh, 's alright, buddy. We'll help you out." Poe grinned, patting Finn's back. "Hey, can we get another round?"

The night came back to haunt Ben. Unexpectedly, and like a flash. He saw the sadness in Han Solo's eyes; how painfully they stabbed him with every blink. Rey's fear of him. Those he murdered. They all hissed in his ears,
"I'm disappointed."
"You're a monster."
"You need to pay for your crimes in Hell."
"Die."
Ben felt his heart drop and his fists curl. He felt a familiar hilt in his hand. Ben blinked, only for a second, and saw the graveyard of his destruction. Crying children, rushing Stormtroopers, burning buildings, even dead people. He looked down, seeing his wedding band on the ground. It had lost its gold shine, no longer reflecting his face.
He tucked it in his pocket for safekeeping and walked around. Young Padawans cowered in fear, not meeting their eyes with his. He recognized one.
"Zorah? What's going on?" He knelt down and reached out.
"Please, ple-please don't kill us. We promise we won't do anything bad. Please don't do it-" Zorah's eyes were heavy with tears and she could barely say anything. She and the other Padawans recoiled as far as they could from his touch.
"What are you talking about?"
"We're sorry! Please!" She begged with tear-strained words.
Ben could feel her heart beating out of her throat. She was genuinely frightened.
"Please! Sir, Mister! Kylo Ren, please leave us alo-" a Stormtrooper pushed her to the ground with his foot. The other children collectively gasped then stayed quiet; they were sure her nose was broken.
"What are you doing?" Ben asked. "Get off, you hooligan."
"Y-yes. Excuse me, sir."
"Zorah, what's happening?" He asked again. He was getting impatient; and she could sense it.
"If y-you're going to kill me, just answer me this. Y-you killed them, d-didn't you?" She whispered.
"Killed... who?"
"Rey and the baby."
