Yesterday had been quite the rough day for Frank. The moment he'd gotten home from school, extreme pain just decided to ravage his stomach, making him double over in silent pain. Thank god his mother wasn't there to see, because it definitely wasn't pretty. He ran over to the fridge and grabbed a cheese stick, which was small, but not very fattening. Frank had devoured it in seconds and he soon found himself shoveling food into his mouth, realizing all but too late that this was unsafe, and his body was begging to reject it. All of this lead him to be leaning over the toilet bowl, throwing up the contents of his stomach violently as tears streamed from his eyes.

To put it simply, yesterday was not rad for Frank.

Hence why today, he simply seemed....out of it. Gerard was prepared, though, a softly smile on those constantly-bitten lips and a hug ready for Frank.

"Wanna talk about it?" Gerard asked as Frank accepted the hug, moving closer and allowing the taller boy to wrap his arms around Frank.

"Not really. I'm hungry though." Gerard's eyes lit up and he grinned, releasing Frank and meeting his eyes with excitement.

"You're hungry?"

"...yeah?"

"That's progress! I'm proud of you, Frankie." The grin calmed down a bit, shifting across to the lines of a soft smile as Gerard pulled Frank in for another hug (who audibly made the 'oof' sound at the boy's slightly rough motion)

"I wouldn't call that progress, but thanks, I guess?"

"You're welcome. Now, let's go get some food."

The two of them walked to the cafeteria, hand in hand once Frank noticed Gerard had begun to scratch at his face. Frank didn't mind the contact though, or the obvious homosexual image they were displaying. It wasn't like he couldn't take anyone who had a problem with it anyway.

When they approached the lunch counter, Frank looked at the options before him, frowning a bit while poking the side of his hip with the spiked bracelet decorating his free hand. He was a vegetarian, so meat was out, and that seemed like all they really had today. His only option was salad, really, which is what he ended up grabbing, Gerard picking up one as well. With a quick smile the to lunch workers, the two were off to find a seat on the patio outside. The cafeteria had plenty of seats for them to sit in, and they easily could've found a corner for themselves, but it was particularly loud today, and neither Frank or Gerard could've handled that. Instead of trying to suffer through, they simply sat outside on the concrete steps, Gerard happily munching on his salad and checking up on Frank every once in a while. He was eating slowly, but steadily, which Gerard couldn't argue with. In fact, by the time Gerard was dull himself, Frank continued to eat and finished the entire salad, which made Gerard smile once again. Whether or not Frank really knew it, he was making a bit of progress, and even though that was more than Gerard could say, he was incredibly proud of his friend.

"Oh my Satan. They did NOT!" Frank exclaimed, bursting into the music room with a grin on his face. Gerard followed closely behind, panting ever so slightly from trying to keep up with the oddly energetic boy.

"They did not what?"

"Look!" Frank held up a guitar, a grin on his face. It read 'BELLEVILLE HIGH SCHOOL PROPERTY' across the front, which Gerard noticed instantly and smiled confusedly. "They bought guitars!" The confusion vanished from Gerard's face, giving way to a more genuine smile as he ran his fingers down the wooden surface of the guitar.

"That's cool. Do you play or something?"

"Uh, duh!" Frank seemed almost offended that Gerard would even dare ask something like that, which, knowing Frank, sounds accurate.
